Re: Players with the 6 sense?
You just don't get it... i may not have been very blunt about the subject so there you have it - my theory is that there are some players like BoxeR in starcraft (if you don't know this guy's profile, go fill him out) which have some game literally made for them (like AOE for Iamgrunt and H2O). The ...

you can't seriously think that only things which do service to Jesus should be allowed, then? how does playing aoe do service to God? this thread isn't trolling anyway. haven't read the OP but you can tell it was written in earnest with a quick skim. Re: Players with the 6 sense?
Samwise come and played for few months and had a good course, but in this tournament had a surprise defeat. Ryan came on before and had the claim to take the entire event undefeated. Why?

Kaiserklein, I tend to agree with you, but I realize that I need someone's help with these tests, so I am trying to get iCourt's collaboration in this. I will keep posting all the eventual findings. Thank you for taking the time to replay here.

Players with the 6 sense?
The Winter Tournament is finished. The result is for me quite impressive... because I was expecting the finals to be more of a big deal. I am not trying to be disrespectful in Lord Raphael's account here, and I am not a Beliber in H2O's absolute greatness either, I just have the need to understand h...

Re: The Existence of God
Way this topic is allowed by admins? I, for one, I believe in God, but this is a troll post witch doesn't make Him any service, and more importantly, it doesn't make any service to us as human beings. It's just pure trolling... Please, shut it down, already.
Re: Archery
Thank you zoom, I will try to PM the guy.
Re: Archery
On a second check, I fill something must be terrible wrong here... is there a modder who works with AOE 3 mac version to talk to? A person like that must understand these things better than me.

The old outcry to nerf Japs... would you give it a break!! The all concept of Japs is to have the best inf units in game and a dangerously slow start in early (age 1 - first half of colonial). How can you bitch about Japs inf as being powerful, when this is the entire point of the civ's existence?!

If I remember correctly, it was a post like this one when I was 35... a new year is in for me so - I want to punch 36 in, and no go! This is a savage discrimination of the Ancients, boys!

Re: Archery
Aenna test result: 52% missfire! I literally stood there and watch that goofy guy spraying the site of target with arrows shot at whatever... and he has a dumb animation to aim - he stops and elevate his bow and looks up, then bring the thing down and shots... and he is throwing arrows from its righ...
Re: Archery
Yeah, it's definitely something wrong with their animation... they seem to slowdown from time to time when they aim. Seems like a reset on stop-aim animation.
Re: Archery
Ok, so I did the test for Longbowmen and the result is... mind-blowing, to say at least!! Using the same scenario as in case of the yumi, the results for 2 separate tests are: - 45.583% missing at first testing session (1.200 shots) - 32.916% missed at second test So according to this, Longbows miss...
Re: Archery
Yes, for reference I linked before the videos of "Spirit of the Law" youtuber about this matter. It seems to me that the programmers brought in some of the code for archer units from AOE 2. The link for the first video is somewhere on the first page of this Post. Also, sorry for my bad Eng...
Re: Archery
So, I think the two kind of projectiles are treated specific, like the arrows have calculated arcs as paths and bullets have straight path lines in their way to target. In that case the arrows are not "instant ballistics" and are influenced more by variables like size of target, movement, ...
Re: Archery
You can send me this map? Hi, it's not a map it's a scenario. I can send it to you, but there are 2 problems: I made the scenario on my Mac - so it won't work on a PC, and secondly you have to modify your protoy.xml file at <ypyumi> block of code, so it will have range damage of 50 and ROF = 0.25, ...
Re: Archery
Kaiserklein wrote:That seems a complicated way to calculate it but the results look convincing all the same
We like complicated, complicated is GOODDDD!!
Jokeing!!
I wanted a high number of shots to be sure, but I hate to wait a long time, so this scenario had to be made.
I will try longbow next.
Re: Archery
Hi, guys. So I did the test on yumi. The conditions were as follows: Yumi damage per volley shot = 50 ROF = 0.25 seconds damage multipliers for any target = 1 Target with 60.000 hp and no range resist, so it takes full 50 damage. Distance between the yumi and target (Tapir Target) = 10 small tiles I...
