Re: World Chess Championship 2021

Magnus messed up a bit today (G4) feel he will pull out something really strong G6.

Pro chess-watching tip- start stream and pause for 3 hours while seeing to the days chores, come back and enjoy guilt-free sofa time whilst being able to skip over 30 minute calculation after the first deviation.

Re: Baby names

Just passing, but as I actually have kids I'll relate a story. I named my first born son 'Blake' 90% after the guitarist 'Blind Blake', 9% after the guitarist Norman Blake and 1% after poet William Blake, anyway, years later he asked me about his name and I told him and asked him if he liked it and ...

Also, it was me who put 'Trump' as the most important issue this election because it is in terms of immediate impact, this election is like a post-modern re-run of Ford/Carter.

Re: 2020 US Elections

My impression was that Trump dominated the debate, I'm gonna explain why. When the debate started, they were both awful. They were very energetic and quarrelsome, but the quality of arguments was pretty low: a lot of noise, but not much to take away from it. Once the debate progressed, some of the ...

In fact it works both ways with Presidents having outside interests as in your example, Trump does indeed employ a lot of people in the hospitality industry which might also be an extra spur for him to do everything he can to help with covid. I know it's accepted that he just lies about everything ...

You can't get unbiased news sources, you read all sides with full knowledge of the bias. That's true, in general, for mainstream media. The only major unbiased source of news are news agencies. If you want to see the least biased coverage of an event, check Reuters. However that doesn't mean that a...
