My biggest concern with the reworked RE civs and the new DLC civs is that their designs are complicated in ways that don't add much strategic depth. Even if the main goal of the devs now is to make the game as compelling as possible for casual players (a goal I don't find disagreeable at this point)...

Increased TC damage and extra minutemen should be two separate cards. Or at the very least make the extra minutemen just the normal 6 minutes for 150/150.

If muskets weren't an inherently broken unit, then the game, and colonial in particular, would be much better/more interesting.

Yeah Longbows should definitely have a shorter firing animation but lower damage. Of course keep the animation long enough so that they still can't kite.

They should remove carolean's ranged attack multiplier vs cav, standardize the ROF, but give their hand attack a big increase. Should also just make the unit 4.5 or 4.75 speed in all formations.

One big issue with hill dynamics on aoe3 is that on aoe2, multipliers (technically "bonuses") are + & - integers, whereas on aoe3, multipliers scale on % and multiplications, so balancing this would be nearly impossible. Imagine cannon getting a % increase on a hill. Its just too brea...

Honestly the wc aura, while it fits with the design with the civ and is pretty integral to it, seems like it causes so many problems. Do people have ideas for possible ways to replace/fix it or would people rather balance around it (as it seems we already have been forever)?

We’re gonna nerf the eco teepees and keep AR with a .75 against goons? This is zoi logic! The point of 0.75 vs. goons for axe riders is to compensate for bow riders having higher base damage but lower multipliers. If you get rid of axe riders' negative multiplier, AR + BR comps would be unstoppable...

Nerf Age 3 porcelain tower? I get that it doesn't give a direct bonus upon age-up, but it is still worth 8 unupgraded vills, which is way more than any other wonder (toshogu is the only one that even comes close, and that is only worth ~7 vills with max shrines). Seems like it would be good to nerf...

Ports are just so boring, there is hardly anything special or remarkable about them besides good age 4 goons and organ guns. Also, playing them in team games is unrewarding as they just seem so powerful even though you don't have to do really anything special. Honestly, I don't really have any ideas...
