Re: Are astrology and philosophy compatible?
I guess this is troll. but whatever. Philosophy isn't really a field. It's a way of thinking. You can philosophize about anything. Also not sure since when either field has become really big lol. Maybe you mean astronomy?

Re: Chinese Discussion Thread
I think Old Han Reforms is mostly fine now that you don't have to pay for the card. Perhaps the cost increase needs to be tweaked down to 20% or 15%, but in general this card should not equal a free win for China, like it did on previous patches. there's simply no reason to send it now. The 1000f w...

Re: Chinese Discussion Thread
I don't think old Han has become unviable, just that it isn't some auto game winner like it was. It's more niche, I guess, like bastieros or something. I like having a China that doesn't bot old Han immediately in IV but has options to weigh, I think. its just useless actually. Not even niche. Give...

Re: Chinese Discussion Thread
Every change is unncessary. Both of those changes are good, I think. If anything, Forbidden Army is still overly prevalent, and Chinese is still disproportionately powerful on livestock maps. so because germany are disproportionately powerful on tp maps, were gonna change german tps too now? All ci...

Re: Chinese Discussion Thread
Iirc China was nerfed pretty much because of one map: Tibet. Especially since the ESOC map pool is so big now I don't think we need most of those nerfs anymore, except maybe Old Han. a lot of the early esoc maps had livestock. kamchatka, tibet, indonesia, manchuria, hudson bay. but ye the pool has ...

Re: Chinese Discussion Thread
nah, livestock change is unnecessary. Cav change is also unnecessary. Of those 2 one should be reverted at least. Preferably cav train time. China was always in a good spot already. This was just totally fear change cause of mappool + some ppl upsetting with china. old han was really the only thing ...

https://youtu.be/kX3F0q8mFYY?t=1h55m https://www.twitch.tv/videos/37828072 (skip to 9:10 for the twitch one) Two examples of town center sieging being a move that not many players would go for. In the first one, you can directly see how insanely much pressure the sieging from the janis puts on the ...

Re: Sieging houses vs. sieging other buildings
Notice how in this game goodspeed ends up losing because he badly underrates how strong sieging a TC can be: https://youtu.be/02LrR3wcog4?t=13m17s He easily destroys 2 banks. I popped minutemen already, clearly had a greedy age up and would have struggled shipping something that could quickly deal ...

Re: Sieging houses vs. sieging other buildings
Sieging TC is criminally underrated tbh. overrated imo. so many game ppl lose trying to siege tc and then getting destroyed in the process sometimes getting tc or not. ofcourse some games can be won by getting that tc down, but in many cases you could've also won by getting houses down instead, or ...

Re: Chinese Discussion Thread

of course it matters. You should have clear rules and apply them consistently. Otherwise you get silly dumb shit like this, where posting a monstertruck pic is not evidence, but an analysis, which albeit quite convincing, is still human interpretation of numbers which aren't that clear, is consider...

Re: Weekend Tournament & Multi-Stream Feedback
As Ede has already mentioned, the simultaneous streams were a huge help early on as every match was quite short and of maybe not the highest quality gameplay anyways. Giving another option to switch makes sense to me there. However, as matches grew longer, more intense and higher quality gameplay, ...

Re: Mitoe vs SomppuKunkku
Sommpu showed some flashes of genius. Too bad he always plays with 2 hands on d and dragboxes with his nipples. Best moment? Caravel petard drop and 25hp wonder ghurka snipe. It cost him the game, but what a brilliant way to go.
Also stop making mahout.
