Re: The Revenant
I was quite surprised that it was based on a true story. Very brutal and intense. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hugh_Glass#Further_explorations_for_Ashley Based on what I've read, the real story is quite different, however. In real-life, Glass didn't have a half-breed son, and he ultimately forgave...

The Revenant
Hello! Me and two other forum members just saw "The Revenant" together. This movie is inspired by the true story of Hugh Glass, a man who crawled 200 miles back to civilization after being abandoned in the wilderness of the North American frontier. This thread will surely contain spoilers,...

It's a completely unique movie: that's why people like it so much.

Re: Anyone else see the movie Nightcrawler?
Yeah, Nightcrawler was a surprising gem. Any other good, but obscure films people can recommend? I also watched Snowpiercer the other day, it was not quite as good as the reviews let me to believe (the dialogue was pretty bad sometimes and the whole thing was quite over the top) but it was entertai...

North Korea Hydrogen Bomb
Well bros, Kim Jong Un has recently announced that he possesses the capability to build nuclear weapons. We still do not know if these claims are genuine, but for the sake of national security we must take this threat very seriously regardless. How do you think that we should deal with North Korea's...

Alright bros, I want to share with you an experience that deeply affected me. I went to Washington D.C. last monday with my IRL friends. We went all over the city. We saw the Washington Monument, Jefferson Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial, the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, the Franklin Roosevelt Me...

12 inches is a huge difference, bro. You can replace a hand with prosthetics. You can't EVER become taller.

So are spies a worthwhile investment? I loving using them, but I'm not sure they have the proper "edge" required for a competitive game.

Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II (or JSF)
How does everybody here feel about the F-35 program? In summary, this has been an ambitious aerospace program for the purpose of developing a long-term replacement for various aging aircraft within America's air fleet. The F-35 Lightning II (or Joint Strike Fighter) has been developed as a stealthy ...

Re: The Existence of God
I don't believe that the elaborate biological systems found the nature could have occurred by accident or by chance . These systems were obviously created deliberately at some point. However, there isn't any reason to assume the supremacy of a single creator. A large project such as creating an ent...

Re: [spoilers] STAR WARS DISCUSSION THREAD
Starkiller base seems like a much less efficient system than the second Death Star. The Death Star II could fire every three minutes. Star killer needs to drain an entire sun just to fire once.
