Re: How did you find out about aoe?
Bought AoK when I was a kid in probably 2002? Got the Conquerers separately a while later. Probably my most played game ever in total. I didn't play multiplayer much because I was on dial up, but went on the Zone a few times. Was never even close to being good at the game, but I got interested into ...

Re: Saturday Smackdown: Status Update
This makes me sad but it's understandable and not totally surprising given the state of AoE3 right now. Coming across some Saturday Smackdown vids is what got me interested in AoE3 a while back after being a long time AoK fan, and I've enjoyed watching your streams immensely. Thank you so much for a...

Re: Open letter to ESOC, regarding Voobly adoption.
Aw, well there go my hopes of ESO shutting down anytime soon. Incog your ideas are great but not nearly enough people will switch. That's the reality of the situation. Yep, they definitely have a team working on this and obviously aren't going to shut down a service one month after upgrading it and...

Re: Would AOE3 be better without expansions?
I like the Asian civs a lot, as H20 pointed out, TAD was made by BHG which added a lot of freshness to the game (BHG's Rise of Nations is a really good game, I wish it still had a player base.) There are a lot of unique new design elements for each of the 3 asian civs that make them all feel powerfu...

Yeah and I've encountered a much higher rate of cheaters in FFA. At least it's unrated.

Re: Aoe Tourney with handicaps
There's no way to organize a fair tournament but I would love to watch a one-off saturday smackdown style event featuring someone who's terrible at the game like me with like a 50% handicap vs someone like H20. I doubt many good players would want to sign up to be potentially beaten by a someone muc...

I was about to make the same post. It wraps correctly in chrome but it's super broken in IE, I noticed on mobile but it's the same on desktop IE too. Haven't tried firefox.

I don't play treaty but I'm pretty low rank and play several games most days if you want to add me we can play. Same name on ESO.

Re: I don't use hotkey's is that bad?
Like everyone else said, start with a few and add more once it becomes second nature to use them. IMO the bare minimum you should be using are find idle villager, and select TC+create villager. Plus probably build house, attack move, and maybe start using a few control groups You can just do cavalry...

Something they did with the with the server maintenance the other day has broken it I think. None of the games I've played since the 23rd have been recorded on ELO or agecommunity.

Re: The
Do you all use the jpcommunity site? Is there any place else I can see a record of recent games? The only reason I care is because I'm on my best winstreak ever since two days ago and I wish I could see it on my ELO.
Re: Archery
freedom yes, but there must also be maturity on the side of the community. For instance, if thebritish and Kaizer go at it in every single threat(which is pretty much the case) and if it is the general consensus that people dont care much for it(again, pretty much the case) then it is perfectly fin...

if you go 5 sepoy, wait and see if you can do damage, into either 4 sowar or directly 600w-300e-large woodtrickle (in any order, maybe skip the 300e) you're actually in a much better position eco wise compared the the consulate rush, while having much more flexibility and only a slightly weaker tim...

Re: french vs germans semifinals
As a player who plays mostly French and German, I have to give the edge to France. France is all around a better civ. Their Eco is stronger (even when Germany sends 3 W) and their composition is far better. Skirms-goons-cuirs- cannons is way stronger than skirm uhlan. I don't understand why German ...

1010 agra is pretty bad because you can't really make much of a eco build out of it. well to be honest, redcoat sepoy timing is even more all in. I have a question about this actually, I've been having a lot of success lately skipping the Otto consulate/4vill/3Hussar phase of India entirely and goi...

Re: New "beta" map, Guinea
Just pronghorn. ^^ This is nitpicky but pronghorn are very specifically a North American desert animal and would seem weird in the African Jungle. I know there aren't any actual African animals in the game but maybe you could use Nilgai instead? It's at least closer to an African antelope. Elephant...

I think there is a real shortage of high quality content like that out there and it would be...

Sioux. Huns 200 pop was the best bonus in AoC, and in this game wood is much harder to gather and houses are more expensive.

I'd love to see more lower ranked players on this site. I wonder how people tend to find out about it, since its not that easy to find like agecomm or ageheaven used to be. I wonder if I could edit my sig on agecomm to link to this site.. Probably not. Would be helpful though since I basically post...

iNcog I think your strategy of "advertising" on the steam boards was a great idea. I've seen several new people around here today that obviously came from there!
