Clearly not much excitement about this. I suppose that only makes sense when during the time AoE Castle Siege was announced, the PR man said "it's not the end of AoE". Maybe Microsoft is getting its' RTS bearings down with HW2 before attempting to get another AoE going. I mean Ensemble is dissolved,...

not that hilarious. just looks like the cliff isn't an actual cliff but more of a steep slope. That's normally seen in the map editor.

AoE community is nowhere near as toxic or inflammatory as the fighting game community. And even now it's not nearly as bad as it used to be. Just be lucky you aren't getting knifed for being the better player. <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.orochinagi.com/2015/02/man-attacked-with-kn...

4vills probably better on maps with trade routes. 700 food/wood/coin are probably best after the bank shipment (though it's actually at equal value as the crate shipments). I'd say 4vills in place of crates/bank shipments if it's a high hunt map, you're going for tier 2 market upgrades, and/or the m...

most of China's units have ranged resist, so you could go standard army in age 2 and send 8 Chus to go for an early engagement. I've never even seen this match up though so I'm just theorizing about possibilities here. Like what would even be best to go to age 2 with? Seems like Summer palace would ...

Signs that you're a bad player
More like a bad player is indifferent when he loses. I agree with both statements about being indifferent and being upset after a loss. Indifference is a sign of composure which helps you keep a cool head and make good decisions. Being upset is a sign that you care all your effort resulted in a los...

I think some trickles are good just because it's constant gathering, but it only seems to show it's paid off if it goes to late game. Otherwise you might as well just send units or some discount card.

Using Hackapell as German mostly depends on the match up. Like over 80% of the time, if you're going to send mercs, you should send Jaegers or black riders. They'll just give you more consistent mileage. Hackapell's only good to wipe out skirm, light infantry, artillery, and vills. If there's even 1...

without reading the guide, i''m guessing it''s because they have map control right off the bat, with a strong economy behind it (+TPs) as well as a very solid FF they''re basically hard to touch, overall too safe, they can get away with anything. it''s not necessarily their rush which is amazing no...

How about a pirate civ? One that doesn't have a home city, or villagers, but the villagers are outlaws that have higher than average HP and damage, but a negative multiplier against other vills, explorers and houses. And perhaps when you get a vill kill, you don't get XP but a higher amount of gold?...

You can age up at 20 vills, then just go back to gathering wood during FF to set up more houses + market + banks. It wont mass enough to break a jap. Best way to win this MU is colo play, wickedcoss build is nice. Eh the FF idea isnt for a timing push or to simply out-mass, but more for a tech adva...

well if you send 700 wood or a bank, that slows down the FF. Id think you age with 400 wood, can make at least one bank. Then if you dont use starting wood for a market, thatd give you a start for a second bank. Then you could ship 700 food, 700 coin, or 4 vills in age 2. If you manage to get up 2 ...

yes they're too expensive for how vulnerable they are. they're slightly more useful than grenadiers or mantlets. But if any good player sees you building them, they just won't engage with their infantry and tech switch to cav. They know that the flamethrower is a big investment, so all the resources...

Ah you didn't specify a shipment order, though I could've concluded that you implied they were shipments. I figured intervention was first or close to it. It just seems like FF Tower to Intervention is nearly the same build order as FF Confucian to 1k wood. or if you wanted to, could do FF Confucian...
