Re: God 2.0: The free market

We need a carbon tax so the markets can effectively deal with climate change A carbon tax only works if there are good alternatives available. We have a carbon tax where I live in Canada, and all it's really done is force companies to add $50 to my utility bill every month, without really making an...

Re: God 2.0: The free market

Many people seem to think that a free market is simply a supply/demand system without any external factors/gov't rules/regulations etc. This is not true. If you actually read into the historical concept of a free market it is always with certain rules/stipulations that allow the market to function. ...

Anyway, it's not my job to judge whether a "strat" deserves to be on the wall or not so I don't know.

I have 3 posts on the strategy wall so the bar is not exactly high.

Hackapells aren't bad persay, they just have a small niche in vill raiding. Unfortunately without high hp they just can't do hand cav's job, which is to tank, so they're pretty useless in fights.

Re: AoE3 makes me really upset

I doubt it. We're being too hopeful for the DE. From what aoe1:de was we'll just get some higher-res assets and like 1-2 bug fixes. Not to mention being a Windows store exclusive will seriously cut into the numbers.

I don't think I'm alone in thinking that it's strange to eat a trained companion animal, right? Some level of betrayal of trust that I'm uncomfortable with, and I've raised pigs for slaughter before.

Ffs clean your damn microwave, that's barely dirty. Do what Callen said with boiling vinegar + water (+ lemon if you don't want it to smell like vinegar). Consumer culture at its worst right here lol.

Re: I think Bernie Sanders is a bad politician

He's an effective speaker and he's got decent ideas. I could agree that he's not great at politics though; probably too disgusted by all the schmoozing required, to both donors and the Democratic party, hence why he lost the primary.

Re: Why has the left imploded in modern times?

You do realize that most of what all politicians do is to get votes, right? Yes, of course, but that's not my point. My point is that leftists are purposefully waging demographic warfare against the United States. If the republicans are trying to get votes by giving the rich tax cuts, and the democ...

Re: AoE3's "Stale Meta"

I've never been bothered by the rng shooting of warships. Besides it's not completely rng. The rof is defined then shots may be not consistent within that time frame. Water heavy maps have never been competitive in any aoe. Maybe in tourneys where you can pick a map or tourneys with specil settings...

Re: AoE3's "Stale Meta"

Water is fun to play, but honestly some mechanics are broken, (ship micros) and it is too one sided. If one side wins water once, i have never saw a game where other side manages to contest it again. This is the main point for me; if EP wants more people to integrate water play, then water combat n...

Re: Why has the left imploded in modern times?

I think the problem is that in many countries 'left' has never even been a thing. Left or right are clear economical preferences. The 'implosion of left' is just a result of attributing other things to left people just like people associate 'conservative' with those incest farmer muricans. Politica...

Re: AoE3's "Stale Meta"

To be fair though, a stale meta is just kinda a fact for most 13 year old games, especially ones with low populations like aoe3. Without many major tournaments, new players, and an actually functioning ranking ladder, there isn't much reason to want to get better at the game. The fact of the matter ...
