Well age 2 Japan isn't the strongest civ, they really need age 3 unit ups. I could see how Unction Spain could beat them in a drawn-out age 2 if you keep the shrine count down.

I'd rather just MM because the rush is so all-in. There isn't even a warhut behind it til 600w comes in. That way you're not idled your whole transition. Can you get away without MM? Sure, but you probably lose more resources in houses, idle time, etc. Plus if Inca is smart he'll kill all your house...

Yeah seems like the only real answer is to immediately hide vills when you see Inca fast age so that you can gather for MM, otherwise you're kinda screwed.Challenger_Marco wrote:

When the devs talk about "offensive" and "defensive" civs in the context of civs suited for AoE2 players vs AoE3 players, they mean civs for games lasting 20 mins (Sweden) vs games lasting for 40+ mins (Inca).

slightly related to this, have people figure out the optimal way to use the incan explorer for early treasures? I have been mostly agroing them into melee and then using the aoe skill to maximise damage but I'm not sure this is optimal That's pretty much it. I have gotten some lucky hits by kiting ...

I don't get the logic behind these kinds of takedowns. Nobody is listening to twitch streams for music (unless it's those weird COVID edm streams on the front-page). It's literally just free advertising for the record companies.

Swedes have so many cool things about them. Hakkapelits. Leather cannons. 8 bow AND 8 pike shipment in age 2. Mercenaries that unlock the unit in the saloon when you send them. Their eco isn't even that good. Houses are like 13 extra vills after an age 2 card and 1775 wood invested. Extra TCs are only as good as the resources you can gather.

You want to win vs aggressive Inca? Send colonial militia and go fortress, there is absolutely nothing Inca can do to stop you because their bows get 1-shot and pikes 2-shot. Skirm/goon wrecks Inca. @uberjz I would say stagecoach isn't that good with Inca for 2 reasons, first that their TPs cost 250w each, and secondly that their units cost mostly food so stagecoach isn't very efficient for them.

The 13 house maximum really bothers me, you can't get max pop in age 2 for whatever reason. Really troll on behalf of the devs.

Oh forgot to mention, but with the explorer's AoE ability you can take certain treasures extremely fast. 3 cougars/wolves/black bears treas can be taken in ~5 sec if you get the aoe splash right.

It's probably a bug but if grens are super meta it might be necessary, since India kinda relies on just having the bigger infantry ball in fortress. Tbh it might not even be OP vs skirms, the stacking vs HI might be too much tho.
