Re: Official AoE 4 Thread

This better be available for Mac users! Via Steam please. But I highly doubt it.

Re: Slightly unusual FTJ problem

Update: I have done the ports and it doesn't seem to have changed anything. What works is that if I restart my Mac and log into Steam and ESO straight away sometimes I can join a game, sometimes I can't (50/50 probability) of those times I join a game 50% go the full distance no problems (then I can...

Re: Slightly unusual FTJ problem

Hi @EAGLEMUT - I will investigate trying it with a VPN.

It is all so bizarre, considering how flawlessly it was working prior to this weekend. I fear that my 11 year + time on AOE is coming to an end.

Slightly unusual FTJ problem

Good Evening all, For years now I have been running AOE on my Mac via a Windows Steam Wineskin (Crossovers) with no FTJ issues at all or any issues in general. However, this weekend for some reason I cannot join any games and get the FTJ message. No changes to my Mac or Router for that matter. Is th...

Re: Team game blaming

The problem is that many of the 3v3s I play these days are with 2nd lieuts & Master Sergs as these are the most numerous for this game type at the times I play. As a Captain who really enjoys a 3v3 it can get very frustrating when team mates don't do the basics right or even make a barracks or u...

Re: Glitchy Graphics in Asian Dynasties

I sometimes get that when I am in game and a building, mine or any object can cause lots of streaking low poly graphics to stream across the page. No idea of the root cause but I assumed it was due to that I am playing in a Windows Wrapper on my Mac to access to Windows Steam.

Tweet regarding Servers

https://twitter.com/AgeOfEmpires/status/829446676158963712 Another topic on the servers but... there seems to be someone actively responding with updates from MS. Maybe an opportunity to get some engagement and transparency with the community as we know it can be difficult to get answers from MS.

But the civs aren't super balanced :P

I have been on this game for coming up to 11 years now and still can't get enough. Testament indeed.

Re: Cheater who blatantly hacks

I am failing to see how the graph confirms any hacking?

As Dutch he could be spamming instant Ruyters at this stage which would account for large peaks of unit spikes. Or he could have sent Stadholders too.

Re: What Natives is Good for French?

I always see Cree worth it for their tank ability and the option of 5 CdB to supplement the eco. Edit: Klamath are another favourite for me, not sure why, I just like them. Inca are also useful for boosting eco. And getting both the natives on Deccan for their eco boosts makes French Eco take the ex...

Remember that to age up you will need vils on a wonder. Say you use 3 to build it and you didn't use the refugees card you would have little gathering potential.

Re: Proof that Hungary is the best nation

This is pretty amazing and weird at the same time. I will never be able to hear the music in-game the same way again. Can we make this a trend for AOE's other soundtracks? What other song would be a good base track?
