TWC and TAD civs are also somewhat balanced within their own expansion. Similar features obviously lead to closer balance.
TWC expansion is more similar to Nilla than TAD expansion, that's true.

I agree that 1010 becomes good with best crate start and possibly treasures. But that's just because it is basically the same as the slow age one just with the house a bit delayed (minimal idle time with +100w +100f +treasure +livestock). 1. Only crates based on civ-specific necessity are the base ones. All the extra ones are like a map condition.

Yes you do but with slow age younhave abiut 3-4 vills more, plus more buffer to get res for batches. 1010 TP is extremely squeezed. Lately I was even skipping it with sliw agra rush simply because getting full batches is way more important when rushing (and each extra produced unit is 12 xp anyway).

1010 with TP is less than 10 sepoy because you also need a house or two. The first batch alone is gonna be 2 sepoynonky followed by other uncomplete batches. Even with the slow age with TP can be challenging at times to get constant 5 sepoy out early on.

Ye 1010 only perk is to have military out faster to "lame out" the aggression. The supposed earlier shipments is a very negligible advantage in basically every MU since you can't engage a boom race anyway out of a 1010 agra. And as for 1010 karni the slow version with 4v in wonder is stric...

Vills from manors after about 130 pop are generally not paying for themselves in your average 1v1 game.
Further houses are mostly made for pop and because you spare some wood anyway after producing from 2-3 military buildings.

Im happy to see increasing support for 10/10 rising again. Its not always terrible! Indeed. Especially with a transition TP and a couple less sepoy the follow up is so much better. Nah they don't have an extra crate. There is really no reason but bias to say that... China has 5 crates. But Japan or india have same or more... a few euro civs have 5 too, Russia and twc civs have 5+ too (but 1v less) Its bullshit to say China has an extra crate... when there is no clear baseline...

The trade off is between TP and early market or between TP and 2 houses. Aside from that early TP with 3v VC is clearly superior considering that VC takes place of another colonial card like 600w so you end up with quickier boom and better shipment rate.

Well China exception does raise some balance problems since they always get an arguably good crate composition while all other civs have a distribution of good/bad/normal extra crates.
Bear in mind one of the Chinese crates is virtually an extra crate but it is fixed.

He has to contest the shrine sieging and he can do it with yumi or ashi. You don't have a war hut up yet and it will be up too late with 700w. If you keep massing units at some point you will be able to push into his base so 19 maces are not wasted. Of course if he is doing like water boom or turtle...

Or simply you are only considering the cases where opponents are bad and/or you get unusual good starting conditions. Also sieging down the villages isnt necessarily a win (not just with India)

The 10/10 is not that all in garja, you cut maybe 2 villagers at worst on a crate start like 400w+100f. That's the very best India conditions possible. For fairness you should also consider best China options. Also the fact that you age up sooner doesnt automatically means it works better. Shipment...
