Im a bit skeptical on the actual playability at a capped frame rate. Im mostly refering to input lag for example. I'd say in competitive games you want as many frames as possible and rendered in real time (1 frame pre render) just so that every input is registered and used. Visualy speaking in aoe3 ...

I've never been bothered by the rng shooting of warships. Besides it's not completely rng. The rof is defined then shots may be not consistent within that time frame. Water heavy maps have never been competitive in any aoe. Maybe in tourneys where you can pick a map or tourneys with specil settings....

3. The map do effect the play style but when we opt to create our own maps the reverse is also true. The Re maps have some flaws mostly with fair spawns but ppl still don't like them that do spawn alright. The reason being the resources in TC range. It's about the same thing. I mean it's 1.11 vs 1.13. There are maps that give 1.25 or ven more.
In general shorter routes are better because the income is more similar to a trickle.

It's using your cpu instead of the gpu. Change it in nvidia control panel.

Well, constraints are similar for all maps, they just change in values and occasionally lvl3-4 are restricted to some areas. Hudson treasures are all lvl 2. I think the only treasures that can be very deciding occasionally are nootka and inca treasure. Mostly because they spawn alone . Ulhans are still fine. At 190hp they overperform whenever it is a melee fight. In team it may be different because of pathing sucks and stuff like that. I wouldn't mind buffing xbows if the argument is "nerfing their only colonial unit". Besides dopp have been buffed already.

Ye I agree there is lot of room from improvement for macro and micro. And game would be more funny and competitive imo if played at like 1.5 speed. Fast mode is like 3x? I think that's just too much for having actual lydecent play even at very high level.
