Re: ESOC water maps balance

I like to watch water map games Indeed, they are some of the most enjoyable games to observe. However there are a number of high level players who don't like to play on water and make a lot of "noise" when it comes up. Hence we are in a situation this tournament where it isn't particularl...

Re: aligator92 vs __UhLaN__

Twas a good watch. Game 1 was a classic "player has complete map, opponent completely out of resources, still pushes", maybe you didn't have the hunt situation scouted, idk? Game 2 you played solid, just needed to focus that 2nd falc down when it was open. Game 3 if you added war wagons at...

Re: Why can tourney games only be casted/streamed by ESOC?

Preventing coaching is unenforceable so it's mostly an irrelevant discussion. For arguments sake however consider that in a game of chess having someone coach a player with strategy and moves is obviously unfair as it would essentially be the coach playing. The physical component of aoe3 is far gre...

Re: Why can tourney games only be casted/streamed by ESOC?

I'm guessing from the fact you ignored my question that you never asked to be a caster for ESOC events.

Which makes this a pretty troll thread.

Ah I was asking project.

Yea, I'm pretty sure you can still get added to the list provided you send in a sample. I don't see why not.

Did you ask to join as a caster for the ESOC events?

Pretty sure it's advertised regularly. I honestly don't know where all these problems come from.

Re: Eco theory vs musk attack card

Never forget 2015 tournament Kiljardi vs Garja french mirror hudson bay. Kiljardi stomps with a 3cdb 700w 4 cdb Eco Theory build. Yes, eco theory ... as 4th card. 4th card. If my memory serves me correct he repeated this build a few times. As if that wasn't proof enough of how good eco cards...

Re: England maybe leave EU june 23.

tbh I have no idea why Corbyn supports this. His own party is going to get obliterated and he will probably be pressured to resign afterwards. Seriously questioning his mental faculties right now. Same thing happens if he doesn't though right. Labour won't mind either since they probably want to ge...

Re: England maybe leave EU june 23.

Yea it's politics101 over here, smash the other parties when they are down. Call a general election when you are 20 points up on all the other parties so you stay in power for another 5 years. The Tories could wait (for the end of their term) for the gen election but they risk Labour getting their a...

Re: The final days of the Group Stages approach!

Imo it should be based completely on succeess on all previous tournaments.... Honestly elo ? Depends how many times you get monster truck'd on re, which opponents you play, which match ups you play and it can be so easily manipulated.... Well it is seeded on previous tournaments. But there does nee...

I remember that WCG bracket. Well it wasn't even the bracket, it was the group stage BEFORE the bracket that was screwed up. 4 man group with NaturePhoenix, iamgrunt and h20 where only 2 could get through.

Aiz is in an awkward timezone right now so being the polite chap he is he decided not to sign up.

Edit: Plus he was also concerned the flail elephant might get nerfed if he played as india. Didn't want to take the risk.

Re: The final days of the Group Stages approach!

ye there is no alternative to seeding players based on elo. Its true some players like hazza arent seeded properly becasue their elo doesnt display the skill but in the end its their own fault. They could have also played a bunch of rated games to get elo up. Not like its the fault of the tourney o...

In fact, in many fights I see people trying too hard to micro and it actually costs them the fight because its often just counter productive. I guess over-micro is just a symptom of people trying to practice their micro but I do agree it happens way too often where you'll see something like 15 huss...

I didn't watch that stream but I feel like if something like this happens it should be the casters' role to tell k...
