Re: India vs Brits

shameless promotion here Haha, not at all! Nonono, actual shameless promotion would look something like, hypothetically speaking of course, say linking to an external off-site video of a full commentary of the match up playing against arguably one of the top 25 players of all time in a tournament s...

Re: HealthCare

But I agree I'm at fault due to not replying to your earlier arguments. Don't worry I will. I have the post mostly prepared. Just putting finishing touches on it. ;) Tis over a week later now, how is it going? If you've lost motivation you can post the bit you had written, I'd still be interested.

Re: Make your EP4 tiers list

While that's a great post and all I think people are slightly missing the initial intentions of the thread.

I suspect Ottomans is the highest, not because I think it is the strongest but for other reasons.

We already have a EP balance poll for balance tier lists.

There's really no reason to change ports, they're in a good place. Focus on the civs that are rated too high and too low.

Yea keep it simple. 140w manor is a slight nerf, let's see how it does. I don't think we need to do anymore than that right now.

Re: Indian Discussion Thread

Because of the vast backlash of the sepoy change and the complaint that it was pushing India towards fortress styles too much, which I did see the merit of. People also expected India to be weak after the sepoy nerf. I don't think the sowar change would be the cause of India being too strong though...

Re: Indian Discussion Thread

Unnecessary sowar cost reduction will do that. The sepoy nerf was compensated by the house buff so I don't know why they received another buff on top of that.

Re: Empires Apart is now in beta, sign up!

Seems the game is somewhat redundant. We have 3 new DE's coming out and AoE4. Plus the game looks like AoEO. I wish them the best of luck but fear the worst. Looks super uncreative tbh I get what they're going for but it just comes off as lame that it looks so similar to AoE games, and even has &qu...

Re: MU of the week: India versus Russia on Florida!

On a lot of the RE maps just playing contain as russia with double BH does really well. I think you can still do an early push with 5coss /10 strelets to see if you can snipe 1 or 2 vils and/or force the india to make more units than they need if they can't judge the situation well. Then ship 700w a...

Re: HealthCare

Is this the total spend of the average citizen on thier helathcare? Or the amount the government pays? I couldn't work it out from the report. Per capita is the average per person. Public healthcare spending per capita is essentially (for the average citizen) how much of your taxes get spent on hea...

Re: HealthCare

one could argue its more expensive due to lower taxes, but I don't really want to cause I'm in favor if a single payer system. Just to clarify you realise that America spends more on public healthcare per capita than the UK? So not only do you pay more taxes than I do on healthcare you have to pay ...

Re: HealthCare

Yea thats what I'm trying to say. Middle class and upper class people get fine treatment. Poor people get fucked. Sure. I think I would still argue that the cost of the healthcare is still too high due to leaving the system up to the markets, so yes even though you can afford it (making it not a hu...

I dont disagree that Healthcare in the United States is horrible, but that's an extreme example. If you take an extreme example from any country their Healthcare system is gonna look poor.
