my and my roommate would pay about 50 each

That seems somewhat expensive. I take the general rule: if one hour of work saves you ~10 bucks it is worth it. This one would probably represent 20$/hour or so.

Re: my sweet dog is dying

I have told myself many times, that I will never get another Cavalier, cos it has been really expensive owning him, with all the visits to the vet. It has also been painfull being him, many times during his short life. But then again, I really cannot see myself getting another breed than Cavalier. ...

Re: Why has the left imploded in modern times?

I think the problem is that in many countries 'left' has never even been a thing. Left or right are clear economical preferences. The 'implosion of left' is just a result of attributing other things to left people just like people associate 'conservative' with those incest farmer muricans. Politica...

Re: What's you biggest mis-macro?

ive seen people buy food when their macro is like 100f to 1.8k gold, even when mines are out, trading that away seems flatout awful as thats all the gold u have to either produce units, or get to age 4 for factories for gold income Or what if you buy 500 food with that gold, complete a crucial batc...

Re: AoE3's "Stale Meta"

There's lots to say about the current meta. The meta is made by the best players, who are generally the most competitive. These players usually mostly play to win. The problem aoe3 faces in this regard is that we have an awkward amount of civs/uniqueness between civs. In aoe2, if you master one civ ...

Re: What's you biggest mis-macro?

You pay an extra prize for the units but sometimes those units are totally worth it. Just imagine that crucial 5 hussar pop that will snowball the entire fight for you, or aging up a tiny bit faster to barely hold off a rush, or buying wood for a house so that you wont be housed for a minute. In the...

Re: What's you biggest mis-macro?

Just market trade. Only buying food is really bad, but even then I'd rather pay 100 food extra to get a batch of 5 hussars instead of 3 hussars in a crucial fight.

Re: So I have a cockroach infestation

Throw your trash away and clean up your food, pig. I didn't see any loose food, but perhaps the ants are attracted to dead cockroaches in the wallsh Actually very plausible. Ants definitely eat meat. When I'd go camping with my parents we'd often end up with ants attacking our refrigerator as it wo...

for white people with clear skin, pretty sure there is no such thing as your skin getting used to prolonged sun exposure, its just not made for it. Brittany is the region with the highest number of skin cancer in France (3x national average) because mostly Celts live there and you don't really feel...

Re: So I have a cockroach infestation

So we haven't had any issues with the roaches in a while however ants have started to appear, probably slipped through "the cracks" of the recently reinstalled window A/c unit. The exterminator just came and I told him about the ants. He laughed and didn't offer any help. After he left a ...

i believe the human body is quite capable of protecting itself. Whenever it's spring and you are in the light sun, you develop a toleration against sunlight by the process of pigmentation in the skin. Once it is summer, this pigmentation has developed itself in such a state that you don't need to a...

Germany doesnt have many good units so they make uhlans. Not because uhlans are too strong. What else do you expect? Germany massing war wagons or dopps?

Dopps are great against aztec though, would always make those over WWs.

Re: Modular Build Order

you spend a lot of time in aoe2 cursing it's shit codebase (at least I do) and especially so when you play HD/forgotten/defintiive because you would think it would be a little less wonky and the only thing they upgraded wouldnt be just the graphics. Units in aoe2 really seem to have a mind of their...

Re: Modular Build Order

If you get 5 seconds to calculate 2^15 that is hard. If you get 5 minutes to calculate some reasonable integral it is easy. Yet the latter is a more complex calculation. Sc2 macro is hard because its fast. Aoe3 macro is easy because it is really slow. Its a bit more complex because you need to alloc...

The issue with these approaches is that there are many factors that set you off balance. For example, missing units, changing compositions, Villager walking time. Also with Aoe3 you have crates coming in which shuffles things. The goal is to chop as little wood as possible and then mine as little g...

ttm is the best way to get used to using control groups without playing a full game. practice make perfect. and you can practice quicker with ttm. ofc its not a substitute to playing games, but its a good complement. One crucial part of using control groups is just regularly adding the new units to...

Re: Tit vs Hazza54321

I'm asking about event rules. Are macros allowed or not? In practise, does it matter at all? I believe so, yes. Which means you must be able to enforce it. Explain to me how you will do this then? For example, I would ask players to provide in-game, live screenshots. How the hell would that detect ...
