Primarily on the one side though, because that one is losing ground, feels backed into a corner. That may be true, but it certainly isn't the Republicans. I'm not necessarily talking about political parties, rather conservatives in general and especially the more "passionate" ones. My poi...

Re: sexism and racism and humanity

And yet, if you think about it, this is the state of most cultures on this planet. And it was way worse in the past, too. Why does that matter? Equal rights for all is still an absolute no-brainer. That the world hasn't quite caught up to it yet doesn't mean we shouldn't advocate it. Western cultur...

I wonder @milku3459. Where do you get your news? What communities, other than ESOC, do you visit?

Yes. Yes they are. I know it's 2017, but it's still possible to be wrong.

6605 What does it mean, in your case, to be a firm believer in more traditional gender roles? I have to ask, because it can mean wildly different things depending on who you ask. Would you discourage your daughter from going to school, rather encourage her to find a "good man" (meaning on...

Re: sexism and racism and humanity

Sadly, it's not just this forum. Overall, people have become more jaded in recent years. On both sides, actually. Primarily on the one side though, because that one is losing ground, feels backed into a corner. Trump being elected president is one thing that shows it. The alt-right movement is the d...

Re: sexism and racism and humanity

It's sickening and I'm sick of it's propulsion, under whatever guise it's given. I've barely seen any reaction against their hateful attitude -- as if it's to be accepted or as if it's to be entertained... There has been reaction. A lot of us have given up, I think. I for one simply don't have the ...

@iwillspankyou I don't exactly agree with some of his views either, but why should that prevent me from interacting with him about subjects of mutual interest? Holding grudges never got anyone anywhere.

I mean... it's a pretty boring day compared to the rest of the week?
@Gendarme +50%?? That's a lot of leverage considering ETH barely moved yesterday. Careful with that. That could've gone either way

Re: ESOC Crypto Corner

My shit is doing great actually. I would sell because it feels like tomorrow will be a red day, but we can't know for sure and I don't want to run the risk of waking up to +30% having sold. I don't think it will drop as hard as it can grow, so I'll probably just hold. Might sell Ripple at .5 though.

Re: ESOC Crypto Corner

Fucking Litecoin lol. A week ago I looked into the possibilities, found 3 viable ones, and went with ETH and XRP over LTC because I found them more promising. And then LTC randomly quadruples in value. Facepalm.
Thankfully XRP and ETH are doing well too.

Re: ESOC Crypto Corner

I'm not sure about that last part either. I don't mean that I expect the bubble to pop soon, but I wouldn't be surprised if it did. I'll be on the lookout for better investment opportunities instead. Why go all-in pre-flop with AA if you think you can outplay them all in the following hands, even i...

There's always tech companies like Google, Amazon etc.

Whats the yearly gains for those?
Look it up. Last year these did very well and if you diversify you are looking at easily 20% a year with a lot less risk

Depends on what you mean by long term. I don't believe in it as a lasting currency but seems like there's enough hype to carry it for a while.

I mean who saw coming that it was going to jump 100% in 3 days? Sure, it'll continue to gain long term but I'm not buying now because a correction seems inevitable after this.
