Mostly because it feels rude to the opponent. I feel like they're just gonna come into the thread and list 40 excuses as to why the game wasn't good.
At this point only socially acceptable recorded games are tournament recs.

Haha, actually I've been thinking about trying to do it for a couple of years and streaming it but I've never bothered to commit to that idea

Re: NEW WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP - Sign Ups Now OPEN!
I mean losing a lot of elo when you lose to someone significantly lower rated than you is normal and totally fine. There should probably be some sort of cap on the max you can lose or gain, but otherwise it's fine. The real problem is that there's no decay, and therefore no incentive to continue pla...

Re: Market start with spain
You should probably forgo the market almost all the time as Spain. France and Germany have more time for it to pay off, as they want to age around 3:00 and Spain wants to age around 2:40, as well as having more vills than Spain for the market upgrades to affect because of their strong age 1 villager...

Re: Thar Desert is not tournament ready.
in my experience spawns are just bad 1 out of 2-3 times. Trees are not just far, but also in a bad position. you can't build your base in mid map in many mu's and you know this. It's fine having to adapt and having to be more agressive, that wouldn't even change. But to just lose 20 sec on your age...

Re: Thar Desert is not tournament ready.
Thar Desert is my favourite map, and I think it gets a lot of undeserved hate. There's actually more hunts and more gold on that map than 90% of ESOC maps, and just because it's not always inside your base doesn't make it a bad map. You have to build outside of your base a little bit on Thar, or el...

Re: Thar Desert is not tournament ready.
Thar Desert is a great map and you're just a hater and I cba right not to make all the arguments for why it's good for the 50th time. People just want boring standard res. I'm not sure why you get mad every time someone says he dislikes an "unstandard map". Probably half of the community ...

The extra pop is also a liability in a way, because it means that you drain faster. This is exacerbated by your weaker economy. I don't know if you can call the extra pop a liability. It's not like you would be better off without it. The extra pop in theory enables you to trade better with the oppo...
Re: Scouting.
What's wrong with the scouting guide Mitoe made? Probably because I focused more on what to look for in the opponent's base than actual scouting patterns in age 1 or anything like that. This is a bit complicated because of how different some civs are in age 1 and also because of differences between...

You can't trust that stat anyway. Look at any game: the "civilian" stats are never correct. Whenever I play France or Dutch it says 19.

Dude, everyone here is telling you that it depends on the civ you play. Now the only information that you left out with your graphs is: which civs do people play? Further, we can observe the following: ⋅ You lost 34 buildings ⋅ Your economy score is high ⋅ Your gath...

Re: Pull" Trick" discussion
No one said it was intended for you to use it to pull your units: it's simply taking advantage of the well-defined principles in how the formation mechanic was designed to work, whereas Alt-D subverts well defined mechanics for revival.

Re: Eco Theory as Russia
No one’s mentioned that you’d probably want to sendteam cav hp before eco theory as well. Anyway by the time it’s worth thinking about sending eco theory you will likely be thinking about aging if you haven’t already, and in that case Fortress cards will always be better.

Re: skill how to improve macro
It depends a lot on your civ. Some civs get a lot of free resources that don’t show up as resources gathered. China, for example, in a 15 minute game gets an additional 2000 resources worth of units from the Summer Palace that won’t show up. Germany also gets a lot of free resources from their shipm...

It's less than 3 vills, even. Because the rest of your vills are upgraded.

I don't know the exact math but I think it takes about 6 or 7 (maybe 8?) minutes to equal the wood trickle, assuming you've been making villagers the entire time minus the 90 seconds it takes to age up.

lol you've both played aoe3 for years and now all of a sudden you start bitching about an inherent part of the game..? Because no one abused it until fairly recently? I mean sure, but there's been very little evidence presented to show that it's actually game-breaking. There's definitely some situa...

Man I love this argument. Everyone always makes it in these discussions. Just because it’s not difficult to do doesn’t mean that it shouldn’t be defended. Any amount of skill is better than nothing. It all adds up in the end. While we’re at it can we make TCs attract hunts like shrines do? Because ...

Can't really understand why you guys aren't happy about a new figured out micro mechanic, when this game offers pretty much no "micro depth" at all. Exactly. This is what frustrates me so much about the AoE3 community. It seems like half the players just want to keep the game as easy as p...

Re: Patch wall connectors
It's not a bug. Walls were clearly intended to not have the same type of obstruction mechanics as other buildings to make it easier to build. It would be really annoying to be trying to build buildings next to walls or additional layers of walls if the walls were always trying to snap into place nex...
