Re: Indian Monks OP Late game?
I don't think that you understand what OP means. Something is OP if it is too strong for it's cost. Spending a card and many resources on your heroes which increases their strength doesn't make them OPP because it costs you very much while not getting that much in return.

Re: RI and musks
Maybe it really is laziness or people don't know that strelets have more speed than musketeers. Since I am lazy I group strelets and musketeers together until I have more than 50 units just because the musketeer need to be with the strelets anyways, negating the speed difference and if a fight break...

Re: How bad would top players be without shipments?
I think with the Aztec or British a level 10 homecity can still be pretty decent, but with other nations fortress shipments are required and thus they lack a good way to spend the 9 free shipment points.

Re: Why FF with Dutch
If you're OP like Jerom you can even win Dutch colonial against British colonial on EP, partly due to Jeroms OPness and partly due to the Dutch EP changes, because I don't think it would have been possible to do this on RE. I also saw some pros putting in 700 gold instead of the advanced church and...

Re: Are Native shipments actually worth it for any Euro civs?
I think the 10 pistolero Sioux card is good to defend infantry based rushes (e.g. janissary rush), the 11 rodelero card for Aztecs might be worth it as a continuation of their rush or as an anti cav substitute, 10 tiger claws as India when sowars run out or as a surprise to turn around a fight, 25 t...

Re: Why FF with Dutch
If the musk/huss player trades his musketeers for the dutch hussars only skirmisher and hussar would be left, which the musk/huss player wins. This is possible because 20 musketeer have more fire power than 10 skirmisher and can thus kill the dutch hussars faster, skirmishers are only good at pickin...

Well they are a unit because it's Dutch's only anti cav unit in colonial (apart from comancheros or some some nats) and allows for strong rushes with xbow/pike or longbowmen/pike.

I think with the esoc patch changes, especially with the experience buff, a 3 bank mr. milo styled ff could be possible.

Re: Russia on EP
Russia is basically unchanged lol, but due to the nerfs to French and German Russia was indirectly buffed. Still can't touch Port and Spain though. I mostly agree, but to some extent disagree, the fact that now you can rush, with no idle time is so good, and they now win a lot of MU's that you woul...

Re: Sioux Eco play
I think that apart from the standard 3 villager and 4 villager shipment the only 2 options left to boom (as I understand the word boom) is either spice trade/furtraders, which is a really costly steel traps upgrade (costing 1 shipment worth around 700resources, when other civs get it for 250 res at ...

Re: Virginia Company Rush?!
700 wood should be better than 5 villagers if you've sent virginia company because the wood will result in more manors than usual (I think 8 rather than 5) + the manors give you experience points unlike the 5 villager card, resulting in a faster shipment.

Re: What would the meta look like if we had a smart AI with perfect mechanics?
I think when the longbow loses it's target when it dies he has to find a new target, during that time the longbow does not have the faster rate of fire. That's why spliting fire with longbowmen is beneficial: The damage output of the enemy isn't decreasing fast by for example 2 units dying instantly...
