Re: Chinese Mirror - which banner army?
I think it depends on what units you're lacking in your composition. I haven't played many mirrors myself, but a well balanced army composition should be better than going heavily on one or 2 type of units. E.g. if you know that your enemy has a high amount of skirmishers and enough anti cavalry you...

Since _H2o closed your other thread you have to take your bullshit over to this thread? You both sound immature and child like. Cut it out for once please.

Re: Defending without wall laming?
You can also try to send less than 10 villagers inside the tc to exactly 2 shot a musketeer etc. This way you also won't waste dps and also decrease their damage output.

Re: What would the meta look like if we had a smart AI with perfect mechanics?
Maybe when doing a really weird build against the AI you could try to counteract his scouting by positioning units or a fb somewhere where nobody would scout normally and surprise them. Or hide your units or your fb at the border of the map, so when the AI scouts your base he things you're doing a s...

Re: Heavy Cavalry/Ranged Infantry tier list
There are a lot of intangibles with creating a tier list for this sort of thing, because units like Meteor hammers and cav with an area attack are more cost efficient than other cav at certain tasks, like killing artillery being surrounded by friendly units, or killing mass swaths of light infantry...

Re: What the Patch Notes for EP 1.3 should look like
What I meant with my Janissary remark was that for costing roughly 25% more than a musketeer they have 50% more hitpoints and 4.35% less damage output if the Janissary change were implemented. I don't think I need to tell you how OP this sounds when their damage output is now almost identical to tha...

Re: Besta Anti Jap Strats on RE
Again, most Japan players suspect a fortress agenda since it's known that leaving Japan alone for too long is bad for your win %. Only the thing is that an FI with heavy cannons counters their infantry mass pretty well and can put enough siege pressure on their base for you to potentially win the ga...

Re: What the Patch Notes for EP 1.3 should look like
Why add steel traps for Iroquois but not Aztec nor Sioux? Why should TP aura affect villager HP? Why nerf cdb HP? Why decrease HP and increase DMG of Janissaries when the theme of them is to have more hp and less dmg than regular musketeers? Why nerf Sepoy but make them cheaper? Isn't the point of a...

Re: Heavy Cavalry/Ranged Infantry tier list
Since the boyars card affects cossacks HP & DMG and strelet HP & DMG all in one card where other civs have to send 2 cards to upgrade HP & DMG of either skirm or hussars Russian cossacks and strelets are more cost efficient at least during that window. If strelets get to trade against sk...

I think a fast enough fast industrial strategy can work against Japan. Just make sure to scout whether they are staying colonial (> more defenses) or follow you up (>you have more time).

Re: Rodeleros' siege attack
Without stagecoach for a colonial agenda they could do a late double rax build (H2o ftw) by getting all market ups in transition + 125w/g and getting steel traps asap with 500f age up, then send 700w for 2 baracks and 3 houses and spam 10-10-10 musketeers, follow the 700w up with 5 vill 600w (possib...

Re: AoE3 trivia: revolting and dying
When you send units in a game and go to your homecity you can see the units walking from their respective building towards the ships and disappearing. Unit shipments come from the military academy etc... if I remember correctly.

Re: Rodeleros' siege attack
Spain already has age 2 OPTIONS, this doesn't mean that Spain age 2 should be able to win against other colonial powerhouses. Buffing rodelero won't suddenly buff colonial because the standard unit composition is musk/huss + sometimes some rodelero, and in this composition they are good as they are ...

Re: Rodeleros' siege attack
Yeah the shipments are fine I think; the Colonial Age one in particular. The unit isn't that great but it's still better than the Pikeman, per cost, so buffing it without buffing the Pikeman doesn't make sense – especially if Spanish is already strong. Personally, I think it would be good for the g...

Re: Age of Empires vs Starcraft
Knowing a matchup could also mean knowing both sides of it with a neutral point of view since protoss vs zerg and zerg vs protoss is considered to be the same matchup, not two seperate ones. But you're right it includes knowledge from both perspectives where a mirror doesn't include that.
