Re: Japanese Discussion Thread
Anything that can potentially give Japan some boost to contain early pressure is sound idea. 250 export to Toshugu is reasonable. Would you keep way of the bow nerf?

In current state yeah, if Russia gets 255f vills back I think they will both be almost impossible mu for Japan.

Re: Russian Discussion Thread
Russia is perhaps Jap hardest MU after India (more than vs Aztecs). Then again, unlike vs Aztecs, I think aggressive builds that involve jap consulate and aim to punish a rush can actually work vs Russia. And if Russia doesnt rush I dont see them being at any advantage vs Japan. It is also possible...

Re: Russian Discussion Thread
I was analyzing cumulative effect throughout whole game. If you build 2 max 3 BH, thats max 10-15 pop space, which equals 1 or 1,5 house. That's nothing in terms of time and resource saving. I agree, 255f vills was actually an adequate buff. I would would continue buffing Russia's age 3 unit shipmen...

Re: Russian Discussion Thread
Then we are back to one and only 255f buff, I don't see other options.
In case Russia gets 255f vills back, China and especially Japan need to be buffed accordingly, because it will be even harder to hold rush from Russia, which is already a problem for mentioned civs...

Re: Japanese Discussion Thread
They're honestly bad ideas. In fact, if there were room for more nerfs those would probably be the immediate candidates. In particular, shrines are not easy to kill, I don't know where people get that impression. It is far harder to damage Japan through shrine hunting than just vill hunting to any ...

Re: Russian Discussion Thread
Russia struggles with pop space because batch system, so upping BH pop space sounds like a good idea. On the other hand, how many BH do we build in regular game, 2 max 3 right? If you consider it like that, its very small, almost unnoticable buff. Anyone considered buffing BH range damage slightly? ...

Re: Chinese Discussion Thread
China's colonial is just bad. No musk unit, weak hand cav. Only redeeming factor are chu ko nu's, which are better than xbow's, thats all. Like gamevideo said, no one is playing prolonged colo with China. Aizamk done it few times, without notable success. I don't think there are unexplored options w...

What cost reduction? I see people mentioning this, but it isnt in patch notes, and the price is the same as always o.O
From 80f, 80c to 75f, 75c.
Its just a slight buff. Sowars are pretty weak without cards, they are not worth more than 150 resources anyway.

Re: ESOC Patch 4.2 released!
Imo, revert everything back to RE sioux, but keep BR nerf and Cetan buff. Hold on, that's exactly what EP1 did, and Sioux were considered unplayably terrible with those changes... Maybe people underestimated them? maybe change the numbers a bit more on BR and Cetan to make them viable while not op?...

Great work guys, ep is getting better and better.
I would like to report small bug. Positional triangle is visible in lower part of the Gran Chaco map image. All other images are ok, someone probably missed it when taking screenshots....

Re: Russian Discussion Thread
86.6f per villager is the sweet spot and 85f is not? Anything less than 5f per villager is clearly not relevant. Change starts to be significant from 5f and on. 255f is basically the minimum perceptible buff . Many claim it's too much, while 260 is in your opinion insignificant? In Ports case it wa...

I feel like they are stylistically disadvantaged. Their strength lies in long colonial games which almost never happen, they can get early map control but it is not so strong because of the amount of starting res in base which means your opponent can age and push out with a tech advantage, all in r...
