Re: Russian Discussion Thread

Is it possible to add 50 resource value starting crates? Maybe some civs need just that, middle ground value.

Re: Russian Discussion Thread

Yeah it's easier to rush, but it doesn't mean that it's better. 93 I don't think that russia can hold age 3 france military shipments if they age up themselves, because france will age up faster, with more eco, and better unit shipments. Maybe ep team should continue buffing Russia's age 3 unit shi...

Re: Russian Discussion Thread

I think between all these analysises you can conclude that the 255 vills buff made russia go from slightly on the weak side to slightly on the strong side. If you were to look at it, it seems balance patches have focused on making "slightly on the strong side" more or less the standard. W...

Re: Russian Discussion Thread

93 TP factor is map dependent, some maps don't have tp's, some have more, some less. Especially now, when we have esoc maps which provide great deal of variety in that regard. Now, after tp meta is set in stone, there is not much room for meta change in other departments, without buffs/nerfs to spe...

Re: Russian Discussion Thread

That's 2 civs. Besides the buffs to France and Germans don't affect Russia more than other civs. I could go on and on. They still lose to Dutch, India, Brits, Iro, Sioux, Spain etc... while being favored only against China and Japan. Whatever change happens to meta, Russia will play the same. You c...

Re: Russian Discussion Thread

Is it possible that people figured out how to play against the common Russia styles? Low skill civ as Hazza mentioned, and high skill to counter. I don't see how they could be that much weaker after this small of a change. 'Twas a trend, perhaps? Its not just about Russia's buff reversal. Other civ...

Re: Isn't Japan lame?

Actually Japan's early game is quite weak if you manage to keep shrines at bay. It depends from mu's ofc, but ideally you want to pressure Japan early and not wait till they get large yumi mass which is pretty hard to deal with.

Re: Russian Discussion Thread

I think Russia should at least get better age 3 unit shipments. 17-20 strelets is meaningless buff, first thing that comes in mind after that is 6-7 coss in age 3.

Re: Japanese Discussion Thread

Ehh the problem with Japan is the way they are played, in fact the way they must be played, and played against. The fact that Japan has mini factories all over the map and can gather in base safely indefinitely means u have to constantly siege around the map and play a slow game, or go all in rush....

Re: EP3 Public Release

Good work guys! Does the tp gathering Bonus has a cap or can you pump it up to 6*4% = 24%? (36% with Aggressive Policy card) There is no cap on the gathering boost. The formula is actually 1.04^6 (27%) for max boost without cards and 1.06^6 (42%) using Aggressive Policy card. With Aggressive Policy...

Yes, but its still a nerf. I would rather go with 5-4 bank limit. In practice its much smaller nerf than this.

3344 Can they though? I'm not even sure, used to be an extremely hard match up on EP1.0. I must say I did miss that change and don't know how it will play out. Generally speaking dutch is a fast civ so the little speed boost that russia got out of the vill cost change didnt have the snowball effect...

Yeah, I was also advocating for lessening old han nerf to 25%. 50% is too much, card is now not so good.

Re: Newest Edition of ESOC Patch Coming Soon!

Tashunke's problems are: they have a very low train limit (12, I think), they can only be trained from fortress up and don't have upgrades later age. So, they come too late, in very small numbers, and don't have any upgrades that would make it worth training them (who would upgrade a unit that can ...

Re: Newest Edition of ESOC Patch Coming Soon!

Sioux changes are drastic. Changes the fundamental way the civ is played. Something the patch was not supposed to change. There are pros and cons to this, but making the civ play too different will make the Patch less successful. I agree, it fundamentally changes the way civ plays. From br rush to ...
