Re: Chokes and flamers
There is also an AOE3 Wikia. What I usually do is google the unit name and type aoe3 next to it. Usually that returns a result for that unit's wikia page which contains all relevant information (including ROF). Keep in mind, ROF in AOE terms is how many seconds between each attack. Here is the page ...

Edit: @ocemilky my Brit (and any other civ if I'm being honest) could definitely use work if you're serious about handing down some of that knowledge.

Re: Introduction thread
7403 welcome to the forums! Thanks for dropping in and telling us a little bit about yourself! I don't know how many people on here connect with each other on Facebook, but there is a sizeable group of people who frequent the ESOC Discord server (and other AOE3 related servers). I highly recommend ...

Re: Silk Road
I feel I do very well with Ottoman because of years of playing. I just need to do Half Map wall. I will host games with 20 min treaty but 45 nr. If you really like the hm walls and no running, you should try nr55 Orinoco. Quite a few players play that, and even though the treaty and the restricted ...

Re: Silk Road
I just tried TAD.... I hated it. What is up with only be able to build withing a TC line of sight. Plus those stupid Chu No Ku ( Chinese crossbowmen) are op. Chu No Ku's, like any skirmisher type unit, are easily countered by hand cavalry and/or cannons . China is very strong in treaty, but a civ w...

Re: Silk Road
No way that china loses vs any civ besides france on any map. I think people just never saw a high level china gameplay and if you see some 1lts/captains playing china, they can obviously not abuse all of their strengths, while using, for example, spains strengths is so much easier to pull off. Thi...

This thread got me like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RbM2F-cfN0A And on a more related note: I have definitely had some luck vs China playing as Spain. I have also done well as Portugal using Huss, Musk+Cass and Organs liberally. Culving the hand mortars is a pain but once you find your rhythm th...

Re: Silk Road
Is Silk Road worth using and does it work on Trade Route? I actually like to use Trade Route for wood towards the end of a treaty match. Silk Road also increases the resources you get from TPs 7319 Here's your answer mate. Also ignore me I stand corrected. That said, it's still not a part of the me...

Re: Silk Road
I keep hearing TAD is better. I might have to play it. I played the campaign but never online. A 30% increase in vanilla is actually worth it. I was one of the people who waited way longer than most to jump on the TAD bandwagon. I can say with confidence after playing it for 6 months that it is hon...

then it is settled. 2v2 nr55 (etc) As much as this would make my month, I should point out that a nr55 will get far less interest than nr40, and the quality of players will likely be lower as most of the top players dislike nr55. So if it's exposure, participant quantity, OR participant quality tha...

I voted $100 cash prize because I didn't read the OP and saw that as the least expensive for the tournament organizer. Obviously if you're giving it away anyways, I'd love whatever would go the furthest towards building a new system. Definitely interested in a treaty tournament. Would this be 1v1 o...
