Re: ESOC Crypto Corner
Looks like Bitfinex requires verification only if you want to deposit and withdraw fiat currency. I'll just get some Bitcoin instead then.

Re: ESOC Crypto Corner
6605 Any experience with or information about Bitfinex? It seems to be the only place to buy IOTA at the moment, but they don't seem like the most trustworthy exchange. Edit: Perhaps it is worth to just become a node and somehow try to get hold of actual IOTA instead. https://iota.readme.io/docs/ge...

I think you got it backwards. I'd say that Google should be envious of not being featured on this website.

Re: ESOC Crypto Corner
Well, I already got like a 70% return. If I knew I would get it so quickly I wouldn't have said that I was keeping it for long. It is all way too fishy for me right now, but I will still keep an eye on the crypto market. I have no clue what I will do, though.

Re: ESOC Crypto Corner
@Snuden I actually just realised that your graph is the number of transactions, not the amount of Bitcoins. It's a rather irrelevant chart.

Re: This makes me really sad
If by applying the physiological differences of the genders one obstructs the individual's will (i.e. expectations of how they should behave) -- that is unjust. [...] I will restate my position: that the manifest of the personal will should be always the most free, barring immoral complications. Ap...

Re: ESOC Crypto Corner
Obviously the total number of transactions increases. It can't go down. The fact that it increases at a constant rate despite the increased price and amount of Bitcoins is what I am talking about. Our two graphs are in fact showing the same thing. Now that I wrote this I realised that perhaps the ra...

Re: ESOC Crypto Corner
I think this graph is rather interesting. The rate of Bitcoin transactions has remained virtually constant during the last two years despite the insane rise in price and the ever-increasing amount of existing Bitcoins. Intuitively this feels like an unbelievable fluke. What can be made of this? If n...

6605 You're moving ahead too quickly! They have yet to be convinced that women are better mothers than men are. It is way too early to discuss more sensitive matters. 1721 Discrimination (assuming we're going with the definition of "recognition and understanding of the difference between one t...

I am astonished by how alien non-feminist opinions are to you. You are so far off drawing parallels between the discrimination of masculinity and femininity and oppression of women.

Re: This makes me really sad
@deleted_user4 Snuden is implying no such thing, which is what I sought to explain with my post. He is just not being overly careful with his wording and obviously doesn't care for diplomacy, which makes it easy to shout "Misogynist!" while ignoring his actual point.

Re: This makes me really sad
If "modern" women prefer to run around pretending they are Bob the builder, . . . i think this is the most problematic statement and shows latent misogyny, as if a woman can't be a perfectly capable tradesmen Not wanting your wife to be a carpenter is certainly not the same as believing t...

Re: This makes me really sad
1721 "Imposing behaviors" and "unable to parcitipate" require some clarification. One could say that having wholly mutual agreements imposes behaviors and makes people unable to do certain things. As long as there is no violence (including law enforcement) or threats thereof, an...

I'm not sure about that last part either. I don't mean that I expect the bubble to pop soon, but I wouldn't be surprised if it did. I'll be on the lookout for better investment opportunities instead. Why go all-in pre-flop with AA if you think you can outplay them all in the following hands, even if...

Re: ESOC Crypto Corner
I'm not so sure about Bitcoin's long term health at all. I was in it for the mid term rise until Bitcoin got enough attention to become a fully fledged bubble, which it more or less is at the moment. In fact, I am not sure if I will ever be involved with crypto again. There are too many questions at...

Hmm... don't these futures allow the people who have been holding insane amounts of Bitcoins all these years to dump them all without heavy losses?
