Re: Portuguese
Do not send Eco theory age 1. Send it later on when you have at least 40 vills. I'd search through Interjection's videos looking for Ports. They have a crazy water boom available to them thats worth learning, and while I'm not great with them on land there's some cool strats I've seen people like Ai...

Aiz subtlely trying to get people off the trail of the secret.
I've tried something similar a few times and have yet to win. Standard Brits just seems so much more reliable and safe. I might try this version of the strat though

Re: France vs china
My key thing with France is you have to remember Cuirs arent your normal old hand cavalry. They dont have to worry about Qiang Pikemen and Ciangdao are only a threat if they're in a large enough mass. But people who dont play France may just send in pikes and swordsmen against them as normal. If you...

Re: Boxer rebellion vs Village Defenses vs Military shipment
On a slightly different note, how feasible would a boxer rush be? If you spam out 6 or so villages and ship Boxers you can get a decently large army for super cheap. Don't you have to ship 2 cards for that? One to make them from villages and one to prevent them from losing hp any longer? Not to men...

Re: India: Next best option to Agra for aging
Am I crazy or do people overlook Taj Mahal? It essentially allows a naked FF since you can literally stop the fighting for thirty seconds, which is plenty of time to send/gather for reinforcements if you get rushed and provides you some coin. If you build or ship castles it's even better since they'...

Yeah it aint cheating. Maybe a little annoying but I mean, you play to win the game.
I get dirty looks for how I play Yugioh and I'm always like "I'm sorry for playing the game in a way you don't approve of."

French mainer here. Aztecs are easy. No cavalry to stop your Cuir/skirm spam. Just for the love of god do not get to age 3 any later than 10 minutes.

Re: What would it take to make Forts viable?
As others have said, I don't think forts are bad, just super defensive. It's really hard to take out a town when there's an army + town center fire + fort in your way. I'd like to see some of the elite players try and make boomy builds that require a fort and see if perception on them changes. That ...

Re: Best Counter to British?
Brits are pretty well rounded but a slow starter. Russia's a great counter, or any civ that can apply age 2 pressure. Few civs can compete economically with a full on manor boom. I also just lost a Brit game I feel like I played pretty well in to Japan lol. And come to think of it Britain's slow st...

Re: Russia is insane!
Brits just lose to Russia unless there is some very specific timing to break the contain that I don't know. I haven't played this MU very much but it seems to me the only timing Brits may have involves a semi FF and pushing with Black Watch and the 2 Falc shipment. Would be around what, 10 or 11 mi...

Re: France vs India
3v 4v 700c 700w, just a boring standard 5 cav semi with tp and you will be totally fine. Then skirm-goons , send cannons to siege agra and mix cuirs if he makes many ghurkas. Once I reach fortress, when should I push? Should I push as soon as I have a solid mass so that he can't age, or play for th...

Re: Portuguese Schooner FI
This is a totally feasible strategy in TAD and it's my go to on water maps. Make sure you send Colonial Militia. Can often mean the difference between holding off early aggression and getting steamrolled. Bonneng, afaik, did invent it or at least make it viable. I remember an early Interjection vide...

I'd like to see this from Yurashic's POV but I think he A) just had too slow of a plan, I'm wondering if he was trying a semi FF for some reason and B) overreacted and played defense instead of trying to push back and turn the pressure around

Re: Scouting Patterns?? (and other questions)
Part of scouting is knowing your map. So my advice varies based on maps. I main France as well, and generally the way I scout is I send the native scout on a route up the middle of the map and then to the left edge. He tends to find small treasures, the opponent TC, and big treasures in that order. ...

Re: US election - who do you think will win?
I'm not expecting a Brexit style polling error. We have way more pollsters and the polls for Brexit the day before the vote did show a toss up. My prediction is Clinton slightly over performs, wins by 5 nationally. Should look similar to the 2012 map. What if the polls were rigged, which some leake...
