Re: Star Wars 8
Loved it. Lots of intentional subversions and correctly addresses some of 7's many weaknesses. Snoke was boring, so Rian Johnson killed him. Rey's family was a useless mystery that fans drove into the ground with hype and speculation. The most logical and powerful answer was that her parents were no...

I personally have done VC boom into double stable and mass Vet Huss and Goons. Split army and get a surround on skirmishers while pushing Ruyters away with goons.

Re: How do i beat ports??
I have seen decks from at least two different players made to contest this style that have names something like "kynesea" or "for kynesie," since he is the king of this, though he likes to use Japan and Brits for it as well. Anyway, the key is to make a water deck but not intend ...

Re: Who is the most likely tournament winner?
I think LordRaphael would have to be the favorite going in.
But @deleted_user4 I would honestly not be surprised if Aiz takes it. I think he's really improved and shown he can play standard almost as well as anybody. Being 3rd in ELO (with the top spot being a shared account) has to count for something.

Aizamk v. Mitoe in the finals. The game's greatest rivalry is renewed.
Next to me vs winning of course.

Curse college for making scheduling impossible for me.
I can tell you there are at least two people who have played AOE3 at my college. One is me, and one is my cousin who I forced into playing 2 or 3 multiplayer matches last year. So, uh, progress?

What a joke.
It would probably the actual beginning of the end for Trump though. Nixon did essentially that and that was what doomed his Presidency.

Re: French vs Ottomans
Well, it is slightly slower, and that little difference may be the difference between survival and death. You don't really need to be greedy against a jan rush probably - just survive. My twin, would this mean you'd recommend aging with Exiled Prince in this MU? I almost said to age with the Marksm...

Re: French vs Ottomans
Ah, Otto. The bane of a new player's existence. The Samwise build is probably the way to rush as France without a trading post. I don't know of a guide for the bow/pike but that's good as well. However you're looking at it from the wrong angle. You need to turtle against Otto. What I would suggest (...

This is 100% my achilles heel. If I had a dollar for every game I race out to an early lead and blow it I could fund a tournament.
I know opening builds pretty well but can't really think on my feet past the 20 minute mark or so.

Outposts... yeah. Probably woulda been good. Did do stagecoach and it helped a lot until his mortars just destroyed them from out of their LOS. I also totally forgot about a foundry I built to make culverins but I'm still mad at how he was able to recover at all economically. His eco would've been a...

I absolutely stole one of your builds. And it worked perfectly. I had everything down at one point but a dock and a couple shrines. I feel like most players would've GG'd but this guy just played hide and seek after that for half an hour.

I don't get it. You can't outboom them, fine. But I just lost after a 10/10 native rush wiped my opponent's town out and they just played hide and freaking seek for half an hour and spammed shrines too fast for me to siege. It was Yucatan and they had ships that I couldnt reach with my army so I wen...
