Re: Self Driving Car Kills Pedestrian
the reason, by the way, that it relates to fracking is that they are both first and foremost environmental issue's and both have been entirely undermined by america's unwillingness to regulate the industries. to put a self drive car on the roads as is is almost certainly just stupid, this would not ...

Re: Self Driving Car Kills Pedestrian
thanks momuuu, indeed i was finding this tiring. this is one aspect i have seen, the removal of all considerations of a humans reactions time alone together with the removal of all traffic control measures. there is also the aspect that we only use our cars for a small % of the time, necessitated by...

Re: Self Driving Car Kills Pedestrian
in truth i don't care to elaborate, i care for people who think for themselves rather than just trying to climb some illusory social ladder through making cute or entirely superficial comment. i care for people who would already share some aspects of my understanding and would help to build on it or...

Re: Self Driving Car Kills Pedestrian
yes Callen, of course its an environmentally beneficial technology. it's not exactly far reaching, its the very foundation of why its a good idea. did you not get past the part of thinking about whether you like driving or not?

Re: Self Driving Car Kills Pedestrian
car sharing by computers, where computers can optimise the car to be in use for every minute of the day, and the programme works out how much excess parking is required overnight which is the only time the vehicles need parked. technology must also allow for these vehicles to be entirely self-cleani...

Re: Self Driving Car Kills Pedestrian
well the story itself is just a nonsense, its like saying that crypto is flawed because its currently over inflated. Just the media making a story for people who have no vision or understanding of technology about them whatsoever, who dont understand that the planet is entirely trashed and we cant c...

Re: Self Driving Car Kills Pedestrian
of course there's massive demand guys, this can do the work of huge amounts of money in decongesting cities and reducing the need for traffic control. it can also save many a square mile of space by then time the vehicles become shared and parking space is economised. just cause you dont think you w...

Re: ESOC WarChiefs Classic: Rules and Tournament Info
This tourney is a great idea in my opinion (though perhaps the format needs some revision) showing the diversity of the game and asking people to be a bit more creative. I notice Jerom that you have some big issue with it , you need not watch, you need also not state your same points endlessly. I li...

Re: suggestion for small tournament TWC
Yeh, i quite like this idea. People put too much precedent on a versatile map pool over encouraging more use of the civs. It would even be good in tourneys if players were forced to play asian and wc civs at least once as of the BO5's or something. They are certainly fun civs too

Re: climate change - how to go forward
Also, these issues of hydro power and 'increased ice at the south pole': There is simply not more ice at the antarctic, studies on various glaciers show their retreat, the thing which is increasing is the surface area it presents to the sun which affects how much light is reflected away from the pla...

Re: climate change - how to go forward
this is a pretty random thing to find on aoe forums. You should not confuse the energy problem with climate change, these are two separate issue's. The reason why it suits people to use fossil fuels for energy is because it is fairly concentrated regionally and also because it's energy density is s...

Re: Nr20 Tournament???
Nr20 is the optimal mix of micro, macro, team play and strategy. A lot of 30+ minute players look to reduce the game purely to skill and do away with strategy, you cannot afford to do this in 20 min. It's something closer to rush except your team needn't straight up fail like in many rush games thro...
