Re: German Discussion Thread
It's hard to define what's too much when a 150 res cav is naturally meant to be more spammable than a 200 one. And RR is related to the opponent unit damage so it's not shit on low HP. For example it gets more valuable after goons get upgraded. HP don't do that. And btw the same logic applies to sow...

They are only countered by skirms and with 5 speed and 70 attack they can get close and win even vs them. Pretty beast unit but ye very expensive.

Re: Hotkey Implementation and Camera Angles
Do you seriously need hotkeys for upgrades? Yout hit them once per game and you already select the building with a hotkey. I don't see how that would add anything to the game.

Re: German Discussion Thread
Ulhans do just fine at range, whoever says otherwise doesn't understand the game or just lies. When you get way more ulhans than other cav and you take into account 30% rr and overkill they do just fine for their cost. And if they get a good surround they just annhilate everything. It's the same exa...

Re: German Discussion Thread
This has been debated quite in depth in past (at least on EP private forums it was). And the conclusion was indeed that ulhans overperform. The main argument was that, aside from fortress mass, 6 ulhans beat 5 huss and 7 ulhans clearly beat 5 huss. In general ulhans overperform in meelee. As for ran...

Re: German Discussion Thread
Besides being a rather marginal nerf it would create design akwardness to keep the same train time. Even if you decrease cost its still a nerf lol, you effectively are nerfing the free uhlans from shipments Ok I can agree on this point. What does this change tho for you rant about ulhans weak in team?

Re: German Discussion Thread
Ulhan HP nerf is a nerf. If you decrease cost it's not a nerf. Yes they are nerfed because with RE stats they overperform in relation to the desired performance.

Re: German Discussion Thread
So, would Germany be stronger with 180 hp ulhans or with 190hp ulhans but 60f 100g and 2ulhans per fortress shipment?

Re: German Discussion Thread
i know mitoe dislikes the change, you can tell because he hasnt played germany for the past few patches. Goodspeed: I don't like the change much, but there is just nothing better imo. Popularity is exactly how you don't want to balance the game. Civ usage goes with trends and trends are based on wo...

Re: German Discussion Thread
The point of reducing HP is exactly to affect break points. I believe we already checked which units are affected at -10hp. Same we did with -5 hp. who are these imaginary people of which you speak of Mitoe, Lordraphael, GS, and also many people in twitch chat. Anyway to me we can also try +10f plus...

Re: Sioux Discussion Thread
Well, it's the design which is wrong, not the balance. Balance is in the unknown state. Basically assumed fine because less OP than when they were OP and less shit than when they were shit.

Re: German Discussion Thread
Well, that's mostly a problem with the players than with the change itself. The players are what matters right? Because the game is played by players for the enjoyment of the players, and thus a change shouldn't frustrate players. Well no. It's not that because someone decided to call Germans a &qu...

Re: Sioux Discussion Thread
if I'm 100% sure he's rushing ye because then I'm punishing it harder. Still depends on the MU tho. Sometimes you just ignore the rush basically. Anyway I would include the eco boost on the green tipi card so it becomes an unlockable boost for later on. I'd prefer to give more eco potential with a +...

I would build teepees if I see a rush and I know I need it. Most of times you don't need it anyway but I gues 1-2 teepees can't hurt if you stay colo anyway.

Re: Chinese Discussion Thread
To be frank though at this stage it isn't very clear to me whether EP wants to spice the game up or just balance it. It feels like a mix of both. Ye, let's admit it is totally arbitrary and "project head" decides. China could reasonably be reworked much more than Sioux as there is more ro...
