Re: HealthCare

I dont disagree that Healthcare in the United States is horrible, but that's an extreme example. If you take an extreme example from any country their Healthcare system is gonna look poor. Middle class people in the the US are almost always fine. There's 1.25 million t1 diabetics in America. They a...

Re: HealthCare

https://www.facebook.com/ethan.marquette.9/posts/2008558582506213 This is why I always get drawn into discussions on healthcare so easily when I see how badly people with the same condition I have treated so poorly in a 1st world country. Poor healthcare is really the one reason I'm so glad I was n...

They are unable to explain why the very same economics laws that make the free market superior, when it comes to smartphones somehow magically disappear. I love free markets, for the vast majority of industries they work great. Yet you have not made the argument why you think free markets work spec...

Re: Trust in institutions

Now you keep saying how people's subjective ratings of the health care system are unimportant, because, supposedly, it results in poorer health outcomes than other countries' systems do. Lol wait what, have I said they are unimportant or even alluded to that even once let alone repeatedly? To...

Re: Trust in institutions

I think you'll find that most of the bad aspects about America's system are wildly exaggerated. But that's not entirely relevant to the discussion. The fact is that the system, despite being imperfect, works well for the vast majority of people. And you don't have to take my word for it. http://new...

Re: Congratulations, esoc

Out of curiosity, what do you think should be said when a player goes under his opponent's tc and loses 20 musks to cav + mm? Should it be called an "overcommit", or is that disrespectful? Should casters just say "oh, he lost 20 musks!"? Well again, I don't think it's disrespect...

Re: Trust in institutions

Very few people can afford private insurance on top of high taxes to fund public insurance. Will people be allowed to opt out of funding and receiving government insurance? Not likely. Most people like their current health plan. It is simply unrealistic to expect them to risk everything by ditching...

Re: Trust in institutions

But socialized medicine is for everyone, not just poor people. In America, most people are happy with private insurance. Wouldn't it be better to focus on the minority who have it bad, instead of overhauling the entire system for everyone? :hmm: As with every other country that has some variant of ...

Re: Trust in institutions

Hol' up I don't get it. If government health insurance isn't free, and you gotta fund it with high taxes, then why not use those taxdollars on private insurance in a competitive free market instead? That way you can just cut out the middle man. :hmm: Free markets w.r.t healthcare would price out th...

I would say stunning investigative work yet Riut appears to have a different first name and last name to Garja?

But it would not surprise me to learn Garja has already pocketed 15k in other games.

There was an FI competition maybe 11+ years ago and iirc the winner used texas and even made pikeman, I think they were french though I don't fully remember. It might've been even before TWC/TAD were out.

Co-casters just randomly leave in the middle of the series, because the game is laggy, without actually waiting for a lag test to determine where the lag comes from. Randomly? Oh comon dude. You typed in the in-game chat to change casters and have the balls to say I randomly left. I do the nice thi...

Sport is incredibly geopolitical though it's a tad obtuse to suggest its the same as war.

Governments don't spend hundreds of millions developing athletes just because they want a gold medal or a world cup as a return on their investment.

Btw @yurashic have you seen Icarus the documentary?

Sioux don't even struggle anymore vs turtle because with teepees mechanics they can boom just as good (and are np switching to farms/plants either). Also water has been nerfed.
