I don't know if it was intended, but because of the orchard change, it is now possible to build the orchards 1 pixel closer to the TC.

Re: My hotkey setup (totally "inspired" by MrMilo)
When it comes to ctrl groups, u wanna put 5-9 on like qwert. That way u have easier access to them (unless u put ur right hand on numpad). I usually put my Brahman elephants, herding/forward vills and tc on those keys. The advantage to putting a tc on ctrl group vs just the find building hotkey is ...

Re: Japanese Discussion Thread
I think the best way to improve their early colonial is to give them an extra food crate or buff torii gates (personally I think it would be cool if it gave you like 2 coin crates or 2 ashi instead of the samurai). But then again, does their early colonial really need a buff? Japan is really hard t...

Japan is simply weak to early rushes, Are they really? In the RE rush meta, Japan was one of the best civ, because they can hold rushes with walls and CM if needed. The real issue is that the kami boom can't deal with stagecoach semi ff builds. Apparently the EP wall nerf and fair hunts kinda negat...

Re: My hotkey setup (totally "inspired" by MrMilo)
Yea, accuracy is the most important thing in aoe3, and in RTS in general. You want to be fast on your keyboard in order to manage your eco(produce units, build houses etc), and accurate with your mouse, because clicking super fast is counter productive if you missclick half of the time. Most pro gam...

Yea, japs with Russia have the most cost efficient late game, so the eco doesn't matter that much.

Re: MU of the week: Dutch versus British on Hudson Bay
You can post the recs if you want, but as you said, I played poorly in both games, getting iddled and losing tons of vills to huss raids, after that game 1 could have been close if I didn't throw all my army and you threw the 2nd game, so balance wise that wasn't really relevant. Still heavily brit ...

Unless someone thinks there's a way to win if the opponent doesn't play like a MS, I don't think it's interesting to play the MU.

Re: MU of the week: Germans versus French on Cascade Range!
However, for ger I think it is just hopeless. If the no vill ff doesn't work, it means that it's just impossible to age, and trying to win in colo makes no sense. Maybe you can age if you make units in colo and then age up fast. No colo units + slow age + waiting 1 min for BR is just super passive ...

I think that the fre player can age.

Re: Strategy Wall
It's true that recorded games provide more information about how to execute the build in practice, and how to adapt, that's why I posted several recorded games with all the guides I wrote. I can understand that all the guides can't be as good as mine though where are your records? In my guides.

Ok, so on build orders. We are back to fre goes samwise build and german dies? Noone is gonna risk saying a gameplan/bo for germans? Frankly I have no idea how ger can win this, that's why I tried such an all in strat. I have a lot of ideas for France, 10musk semi ff (I used to do that before the T...

I send the minutemen and tank with SW, also I should probably wall my gold mine (it costs like 30-40w so it's worth it), and then you can't raid my vills, nor catch my vills :)

You get the 1000c at 6:30, 7min/7min30 if you harass so I don't think getting 1k gold is an issue.
