Re: "Fixed" "Random" Crates
Ah this again. It seems like a lot of people want it for balance but to me it is one of those things that just makes the game what it is. I would really miss the excitement when the map is loading and you are waiting to see which crates you have and the pressure to make a quick decision on how to us...

Re: Hotkeys that u use?
select all units of the selected type, is such a great hotkey. you have two groups of xbows fighting in your opponents base, 5 more pop out of you barracks, and your 8 xbow shipment just arrived from your TC. boom, 1 click and you can chuck em all in the same group. Its great until you then acciden...

Re: Hotkeys that u use?
I use: find TC, find explorer, find barracks/WH etc., find stable/nobles hut etc., find foundry/agra, find market/firepit(not optimal), find TP, find all idle vills (I probably shouldnt use that one) eject units train villager build house, build rax/WH etc., build stable/nobles hut, build market, bu...

Re: Admin decisions evaluation
Ok then I closed the form at 60 responses. I won't share the sheet, because most people mentioned their nickname. Most decisions we took were welcomed. The biggest disagreement (and only) was with Somppu's ban. It has been a harsh decision, but unfortunately things escalated too much to change a ro...

Re: Empire Cup Feedback!
...i would like to see that we see it 2 weeks long and not 2 days cuz i remember some ppl couldnt play in it due no time at the weekend... I think if you do it over 2 weekends you still have to tie every round to a certain day and timeslot, otherwise you will have a lot of chaos with some people in...

Re: RAGEQUITTING AOE3
I think everyone who thinks that EP is not much better than RE should follow dansil's advice and play some games there. A lot of this sounds like there is a nostalgia for RE, where you only remember the good bits and forgot about how bad it was. Another thing is that most people discussing here have...

Re: RAGEQUITTING AOE3
Also about ragequit, when I lose games they are always recorded, but when I win I sometimes lose my connection to eso during the game. Just why ? But then I remember it's just a game and it's not really important ^^ A couple of weeks ago I won 4 games in a row, without ESO going down and still some...

Re: Why do some players have awful pcs?
In my case, I only play a few games of AoE per week and no other games. So I don't own a pc, but just a random office laptop with a random graphics card. Couple that with the fact that AoE does not run in parallel. I guess I am not the only one who does not have a good pc because I simply do not nee...

Re: RAGEQUITTING AOE3
Interesting topic. I think there are 3 things that limit my enjoyment of the game currently: 1.) (and least important) The top player scene is quite stale. It seems like the top 4 of every tournament is populated by a group of maybe 6 players 2.) When I log on to ESO there are a few possiblities: a....

Re: Why is AoE 3 > AoE 2?
1.) faster paced, shorter games 2.) shipments provide a lot of different build orders and add a lot of tactical depth 3.) from what I have seen, there is so much micro potential in AoE2 that strategy becomes secondary which is silly in a strategy game (also I have low APM so I would be useless in Ao...

Re: What skills does each civilization develop?
Russia teaches you to idle your TC. Port teaches you to have inactive vills and no units. (also teach you that you need to call colonial militia before your TC is destroyed). Japan teaches you to boom blindly before being badly beaten by a bowerful biming. India teaches you that musk-type units bea...

This is a very urgent matter. I just ran the EP launcher as usual and apparantly it reset my entire MyGames/AoEIII directory. All subdirectories like Homecities and Savegames are empty and all my settings like resolution, UI options are reset to default. It is not a disk issue, every document on my ...

Re: Favorite games during lockdown
First time I played it, I almost died of laughter. But the effect of the jokes wears off quickly and now I dislike it because it takes for ages as it is just too easy to screw whoever is winning and there are not enough monsters for everyone.Scroogie wrote:Munchkins
