I suppose that's where we disagree. I don't like censoring posters just because they have a different sense of humor.

I agree that twitter is bad. But those who for some reason still use it can filter it and post good stuff, like the MSNBC thing

Re: 2020 Democratic Primary
Meh. Some twitter posts are enjoyable. What about the one where 2 journalists state on live TV that if you had $500m you could give every American $1m and say "don't tell us if you're ahead of us on the math" to top it all off?

This method of checking whether his contacts have symptoms instead of just quarantaining all of them immeidately is very telling, especially considering the sometimes long incubation period. It confirms what jerom said earlier, about our government wanting the virus to spread as slowly as possible, ...

Re: 2020 Democratic Primary
The counter point, which I don't necessarily agree with but is valid, is that as long as people keep settling for less nothing will structurally change. In 2016, the country (notably including democrats who stayed home) voted to bring the house down. The message to the democratic party was "hey...

He's clearly just basing the 3.4% number on the number of deaths divided by the number of confirmed cases (3110 / 90893). Which isn't reasonable to me. Key word here is "confirmed". Yes there are 90983 confirmed cases, but there are many more non-diagnosed cases. I think Korea's numbers a...

3% does sound like a pretty high estimate to me. From the Korea numbers, which are much more reliable than the China numbers (with Korea diligently testing) it was looking closer to 0.5%

Re: AoE2: Definitive Edition Is Not Ruining The Game
It is an interesting phenomenon. I think it makes sense though. Civ balance is just not that big of a deal in AoE2 as it is in AoE3, mainly for the following reasons: AoE2 is significantly more mechanical than AoE3 , so if a player is better it's likely they can overcome differences in civ strength ...

I think I'm like a month ahead of the Dutch people in terms of coping with this. I've already gone through denial a month ago, then last week I've gone through a phase of anxiety and panic and right now it feels like I've mostly calmed down and I'm coming to terms with how fucking shit this will be...

Re: 2020 Democratic Primary
So Texas is almost certain to go to Trump in the GE right? Technically it doesn't make sense that democratic voters there get any say on who the dem candidate should be since their vote is irrelevant in the GE. Doesn't make sense for obviously blue states to have a say either, since they're going bl...
