yea why nerf some strat that is fun. If anything make mercs not random according to maps and let it be legit. Also its easier to balance OP compositions like manchu + jeager.

Re: 6 Sphai or 5 mamaluke
Spahi's are very good if oppenent is age2 and pushing while you are trying to FI. It can kill 20-25 musks with mm while mams mostly soak damage which is good for early fortress battles.

Re: German Discussion Thread
What's germans unique side, good shipments with larger shipment costs. I can see shipment cost change is bad, but changing shipment arrival time still makes good shipments avaible but German's op shipment steamroll weaker. A shipment delay like 10s would make SW boom (2 SW 3 SW) gather 100 res less ...

Re: Starting crates (again)
Why are you against TP's? If you are gonna nerf TP's just make maps with unsafe TP's. I think contesting TP's is a great design.

Re: Portuguese buff (?!) Please read
5 mams was not OP for port, it was a trump card like boyars. Sad it's nerfed cause of Otto. Ports used to be garbage on RE and they'd just rely purely on getting a good mam pop to hold and win. It's not healthy, it makes the civ one dimensional and predictable. It's like saying sepoys with 190 hp w...

Riotcoke wrote:How do you standardise the crate start, give every civ it's best crate start so Germay 200 wood, or make every civ have their worst crate start?
You make crate start for the maps, not civs! Important thing is to know in competitive setting what you will face.

Re: Starting crates (again)
It's still possible to make game more diverse and competitive with crate, it's so simple cant understand why anyone can be against it. Make crate spawns fixed according to map with same principle, thus while playing ESOC maps you can get any start as always; however in tourneys you would prepeare fo...

Re: Pull" Trick" discussion
Well i thinks its good falcs get buffed by pull trick since they are relatively unpopular. And its quite exciting to see these moves. However for other classes, as mentioned, melee units are disfavored by pull trick which were already weak. I agree it's a cool mechanic and makes game more interestin...

How about putting a cooldown for deleting buildings, same as repair that while enemy is attacking you cant delete your building.

Re: Shipment System
Well i like the idea of having deck that you prepeare, its personal. I would like it to be hidden from enemy, enemy scouting your deck without an invesment forces you to select safe decks.

Re: NWC Tournament Disqualifications - Tit and kynesie
It's established that the two rule sets are statistically the same if winning odds are static throughout the series. But they aren't. Good point but i cant see difference in so called momentum. Lets take a lower guy in counter pick: he won with second pick now he has to first pick which is an disad...

Re: NWC Tournament Disqualifications - Tit and kynesie
Well a kinda accept physocologically and cause of civ pool counterpick may allow to comeback in tourneys. But i wonder if that was the case if we just take into account skill, affect of counter pick, and number of matchs played as arbitrary values. Here is the code for the purpose: // calc.cpp: Kons...

Also GS's scenario is also possible in alternate pick, regarding his momentum statement. P1: OP P2:Bad Game 1: P1 wins He is just good Game 2: P1 wins (p2 picks first) OP Game 3: P2 wins ( P1 picks first) Countered, lol? Game 4: P2 wins (p2 picks first) Oh too sad, not prepeared for map bad player w...
