Lol im not sure if there are personal reasons at hand or whether its about really judging play here. Imo Darwin wasnt like top, but he was a very good player with Russia, beating good players and harder civs as well. And soldier i have no idea where your comment comes from. Ye Somppu has good russia...

Ok Aiz, and There's also the issue of spacing out the updates since theres twice as many calculations to be done. you worried about it affecting lagg as it is now? Also regarding your last screenshot, that is indeed a lot of info at one? if it all auto-updates, it makes it all heavier? Then its bett...

nice aiz (as always ye ) I like the red vs blue bar easy for quick look at the difference. that stat (milt/eco) is too much in the way though of things happening in game, at this current position, so i assume...

There is an edit button you know LOL But ye as musket says that game is a bad example and blackstar already explained that. Such example games are no good proof But what happens when you cant punish water and land eco on shore cuz warships, suddenly the entire game changes. In fact, on maps like gl...

@boneng, i think you made some good points, and you could say if its a tournament it does require all sort of skills, so perhaps a heavy water map should be included and players should just play this type of thing. It could be a fun game even, yes. However: Blackstar posted indeed something along yo...

Bart, every civ has strong aspects, some civs just have TOO strong i.e. lame aspects. But for me it should be about using strong aspects of a civ to beat the other civ which should be reasonable fair, and not that you play vs a civ so strong that you have like almost no chance to win and/or you cant...

I wouldnt be surprised if this changes to where real skills matter more than mostly theoretical skills. Id sooner argue the opposite, mostly because computers will take over the simpler jobs in due time. They already are in a lot of cases. That sentence was linked to the one before. I probably shou...

Ok, so this is for now my last comment regarding the whole water issue. I really hope Im wrong with the fact that water is too strong, but so far I have yet to be proven wrong other than some theoretical comments. If its fair enough, then sure lets bring some more water strats/battles. So, take the ...

@blackstar. Taking down 7 walls, gl But okey, it might be beatable maybe... but there isnt really much 'proof' of this out yet so far. Question is also whether you then have to always use jap or india units/...

Because the best player should win a tournament imo, not the player who does the easiest and/or the strat that is too strong? exactly, so the best player (if hes better on land, as u assume the "best" player is usually better on land) should finish off BO9 series in 7 games (assuming he looses in 2...

With "Them" i referred to the ppl who like to play water that much. With "FUN" i referered to the community as viewers to watch, so it wasnt meant as me vs them. @wicked, you have some valid points but not all. Ye we should get a water map in it just for them and for the fun. Doesnt change the fact that there are some major flaws with it. And while a pond can be fun with some ships in it (like you mention 2 carevels or frigate) 1 frigate in the pond just own...

Its another dimension to the game. These days I see 0 people play water decks or even 2 caravels in ponds etc. Seems weird to me I think Musket and I have outlined it in the other thread. Water if well played is too strong and makes for bad games. That said, i do agree some water is ok and even usi...

Boneng argued that some of the new Garja maps (as much as i like them etc) are similar in how it plays out with hunts and timings. I think he has a point, I definitely like some extra maps which allow for more variety in builds, like Bayou and Andes. Yucatan might be the extra map which these water ...
