kill them early, train 5 maces 1st and ship 10 maces, block walls with explorer and idle them as much as possible. You should be at their base before they build their 1st unit production building. For purely thematic purposes, opponents should be able to kill hunts at Japanese shrines. It makes no sense that your villagers should happen upon deer at a shrine that they want to kill, and then choose not to kill it because they somehow respect the religion of the people that they're slaughterin...
