Re: Spain: Age 3 Cards questions
I say just put whatever you want and play the game. Then you will see if you wish you had 10 pike, or if you wish you had 4 huss, etc

Re: Idle thoughts
I was trying to do some of my analysis class this afternoon. I only got 7 hours sleep last night, disrupted by a nightmare, and I couldn't follow the logic. Idk what to do so I had a lie down for an hour and I'm going to have another crack at it now. Do you have any interesting problems? I guess th...

Re: Was Zoi Right?
That's true. But the point is that the consensus of top players has been wrong before, so I think it's ok for the leader to go against the consensus sometimes (but ofc not most of the time). So you're saying that Zoi was ahead of the meta so it's ok if he goes against the consensus when he knows to...

Re: Was Zoi Right?
While I think the EP leader should listen to the consensus of top players for the most part, I also think it's important for the leader to make some controversial or even "wrong" changes, for experimentation. In the short term this may lead to some wrong results, but I think in the long t...

Re: Will you play the two new game modes and the campaign (again)
Uh, yes! Chiko! Where are you. Chiko! Honourable one, have you seen my pet duck? Which act was/is the best also? Mines is Morgans (i guess cuz its the first act and it is the first memory of mine aoe3 life. I liked china campaign the most. It was a cool adventure into the unknown, and I had just go...

Re: Most interesting/favorite civ matchups in your opinion
None of them can do any mistake imo. But falc war is too important to make this mu very interesting. Yes, but I thnik its more interesting when otto does age 2. Double rax jan!! Yes! I like when Otto doesn't kill spain, but does a lot of damage and Spain is left with 15v. Then it becomes interestin...

Re: How to improve
One way to improve is to pick a build order and really try to master it 100%. For example French 5 huss semi ff (3v 4v 700g 700w). Make sure that you can age at exactly the right time every game (around 7:40 or so, you've gotta figure it out) with absolutely no wrinkles. This will help you in a lot ...

Re: russia is so one dimensional is it not
What about adding a big trickle card for Russia in age 2 to offset the lack of 5v? Food trickle might make the most sense, but that might be too OP since Russian hunts will last significantly longer. Also, what about making the Westernization tech available in the church without having to send a ca...

Re: Aoe microfreezes ever since windows update
Hey! I had the exact same issue. What worked for me was lowering the graphics. The Windows update might've made your computer AOE3 run more inefficiently somehow.
I didn't believe it could be the graphics for me since I had a decent PC, but turns out it was.

Re: New Meta Aoe 3 DE
Ye but 1 vill farm is meh. Reason why we should have pushed for a mill/plant rework with 5 vills. I definitely agree it would be bad for 1 vill- 1 farm. The increment is very high though. Perhaps 200w 5v farms would be a decent compromise 200w 5v mills is good I think. Then maybe you can upgrade ea...

Re: Deepmind in Aoe3
The SC2 AlphaStar AI was capped in its APM and reaction time to a human level, and in the second iteration had a limited field of view (seeing only what's on "screen" and spending actions to move the view). More info: https://deepmind.com/blog/article/alphastar-mastering-real-time-strateg...
