Yeah, it isn't only a DNS issue, the game is expecting an actual response from a patcher service that is currently down. Hi, that is quite the timing; the game's built-in auto-updater is currently broken since today, which happened for like the first time in history. It is unlikely that you don't have the latest official patch in any case, since it had been released almost a decade ago (version 1.03 TAD is latest).

@DonDrix You can play regular TAD through the launcher even right now ("official patch" option), though there aren't many reasons to prefer it over ESOC Patch. It seems most people are going for the ESOC Patch option right now.
