Honestly, I think a good ff with tower age up and maybe even 8 bows should hold a daymio rush. Else just go for some bow/pike semi (but obviously not forward village and 9 pikes). There are civs with stronger Infantry/Cavalry cards than others, and I think it's part of the pros or cons of every civ. I would not complain about it.
