Re: Pr ladder ends in 2038?
Didn't watch the video linked here, but most new systems developed aren't typically with 32-bit time stamps. The only reason people do or have done this is lack of foresight, or perhaps a willing trade-off. Implementing a 64-bit timestamp on a 32-bit system would be much less efficient, which could ...

Re: The Unhardcode Patch needs you!
Hm, any hope tackling the "Your official maps or set files have been modified. You will not be able to play online." problem on ESO (happens when you add new maps over the originals)? I guess not since it's a server side issue but maybe we can trick it or something. Or just disable the ch...

Re: Another FTJ thread
No thank you, i'm not gonna just use a shady freemium vpn to play a game online, if port forwarding didn't work it's simply not fixable. What i don't get is why to some people i can connect, and to some i can't. As far as I know this is the behavior most people see when they have issues with Failed...

Re: Another FTJ thread
Testing things is infinitely better than hoping we got the settings right. Here's a test script. Install Python 3 , double click on the .py file after extracting from zip. If it immediately says "Port is correctly forwarded" after entering your external IP and hitting enter, your port forw...

Re: Another FTJ thread
OK. So to make this easier, I'm going to use these names/assumptions (refer to picture): Router 1: The outermost router, WAN port connects to your ISP. LAN 1: The LAN served by router 1. Devices on this LAN are probably assigned IP's by Router 1's DHCP service (although you may have all or certain d...

Re: Another FTJ thread
When you say you have two routers, how are they configured in the network? Are they both really routers or is one just set up as an access point? Or is one of the router's WAN port connected to the other's LAN? I suspect you're not forwarding the port all they way from the outside of your network to...

Re: AoE3 UnHardcode Patch
So the "syscall" plugins are not plugins overriding operating system syscalls, but rather AoE3 commands?
I might contribute to the plugin system for overriding operating system syscalls, which is useful for a project I'm working on, and I imagine other projects.

Would be good in the FTJ section to add something about using a VPN like Windscribe, that seems to have worked for a lot of people recently.

happens when i try to launch 307 Can you confirm that in your installation folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Age Of Empires 3\bin for a Steam install) all three of ESOCP1.dll, ESOCP2.dll, and ESOCP3.dll are present? Since the WarChiefs Classic tournament doesn't open until the first, I'd guess we won't have any of its matches ready to stream for this coming weekend. Perhaps we can arrange some showmatches featuring Warchiefs civilizations to hype up for the tournament? 5650 1711 845 while the post's attitude is...

i made an exeption in the virus programm, but now it is telling me: Not sure about that. My best guess is it's trying to copy that file over, but it already exists from a previous install attempt. If that's the case, things may just work if you ignore this error. yea i already came across that part...

Re: Why no dislike
In my opinion, a dislike button wouldn't be constructive for the community. If you dislike a post or its content, post in the thread with some constructive criticism. A simple show of dislike doesn't help anyone and just opens room for arguments.
