Re: And ports?
There might be some merit in engaging in an industrial vs industrial fight (I assume Ports just mirror, why shouldn't they) since French growing curve is more linear. It may somehow work better than fortress vs fortress at the moment. French advantage, if any, is in tempo so it is worth a try. Howev...

Re: And ports?
There is a chance that after all the little buffs here and there Ports are now better than French. Afterall it was a relatively close MU even on EP.

To me looks like a standard brit boom.
Actually you can replicate this type of strat wiht basically every civ. With Germans it would be something like 3sw, 2sw etc. with rax start. You get units out 30 secs later but then catch up.

Re: Poker
Well, poker is mostly a mean to make money. I mean, it can be as fun as other games when played casually and occasionally, but after that it literally becomes a grind. So, ye it is normal for it being not fun. The satisfaction in poker ultimately comes from the $$$ and, I guess, if you are a live pl...

Re: Free fort: is it a bug?
Ye I mean, there is a chance that with strong eco civs like brits, japan, sweden (maybe even inca now with buffed huaracas) you can time it as your eco is already kinda maxed out by 8-10 min anyway and you don't get too much by further aging etc. I still think this is not the right approach. I would...

Re: Free fort: is it a bug?
it's a very strong mechanic particularly if you don't revolt w.r.t. risk. garja as usual has never played and doubles down that it must be bad. italy has many defensive resources to thwart a rush that aren't freemasons and fort and but also they don't have to naked ff if they don't want to. aging f...

I have a feeling that if the opponent is giving you a hard time by sending 3 defensive cards you're doing something wrong.

Re: Inca vs Spain help
That would be a good blind counter I think.
Also try standard house boom but with 2 travois age up and then just pike spam. That spain FF is quite all in, all you have to do is trade fine and you autowin.

Stats are probably off, doubt 45% is meant to be a thing. Promotions with JPK are a bit overrated imo tho.

Re: Italian 2 lombard opening
didnt they reduce the time it takes angelo, michael to build lombards? is the thought behind not maxing lombards that you cant pump res into them as fast as they convert? My personal reasoning is that 5 lombards just don't help you to win games as much as 2 lombards + a TP and the subsequent flexib...

Re: The Naturalist age up as France
Well technically then it's not "the same efficiency". It's the same build time or build time formula or w/e of a 1 villager. But the fact that it does build faster than 2 vills makes it more efficient than villagers. Same with 2SW vs 4v, etc. That is, if the regression in building time for...

Re: The Naturalist age up as France
There is a chance one SW builds stuff faster than 2v and not because of pathing. Don't quote me on that but I wouldn't be surprised if it's the case just like the crate collection speed.

Re: Hausa - does it even exist anymore?
I do actually use university on xp anytime I don't have a specific reason to put it on influence. I mean, usually if I drop a university is for influence builds, but speeding the shipment progression is very important, especially for Hausa which has a penalty. E.g. there is one version of the Akan F...

There are also no university builds.
Also you can build a TP in age1 (and maybe send the uni+TP card in transition)

score system for achievements would also solve the civ/feature ban problem Well, being able to pull a comeback in FFA was always there and I would say it's one of the features of FFA, if we implement a pointing system then it just depends on what score you get rather than the actual result of the m...
