Re: Feudal wars
Browser-based Feudal wars isn't an rts, it's an rpg. You literally play as one guy and level up skill points on him and get him new armor and weapons with different stats. It's not even that great of a game? It's ridiculously easy lol but at the same time, I've probably beat the game a dozen differ...

Re: Feudal wars
I think it could be great to have a f2p rts that I could show to friends and try to hook them on the genre.

Re: Feudal wars
Their main artist is the same guy who worked on African kingdoms. He also worked on a mod for aoc so I think that's where most of the art is from. I think it will be updated though.

Feudal wars
m Just thought I would let you guys know that feudal wars started their Kickstarter today. For those of you who don't know feudal wars is a browser-based rts spiritual successor to games like aoe2. If your interested check it out and let me know what you think. Personally I think it sounds cool thou...

Re: Favorite AoE Youtubers/streamers
I don't have any favorite streamers except for zutazuta and ESOC but I really enjoy the Youtubers. I personally really like SpiritOfTheLaw because of his civ overviews and his question vids. I also like strategygamevideos for his mid-level aom:t gameplay and commentary.

Re: Initiatives to attract and keep new players
Games like aoe2 and sc still have very large communities. Part of it is the games, but most of it is the actual people who play the game. I'm not sure what they have done to still be relevant 20 years later but whatever it is we could be doing it too.

Re: Initiatives to attract and keep new players
I know it's very unlikely but think how many new players we could get if just a single big gamer gave us a shoutout in one of his videos.

Favorite AoE Youtubers/streamers
I'm wondering what your favorite aoe/aom Youtubers are. Personally I like boIt (high level aom commentary), SpiritOfTheLaw (awesome aoe2 content), resonance (I really like his break the meta aoe2 commentary series), and of course our own Interjection.

Re: Move stream to Youtube Gamming
The next challenge for the media team is trying to find ways to fill the gaps between tournaments. That's what I'm saying. You could stream 2v2 games or treaty games. They don't need to be tournaments but I'm sure you could find plenty of people willing to play in bo3 or bo5 series on a Saturday sm...

Re: Move stream to Youtube Gamming
Alright, even if we don't have a tournament we could still stream high-level 2v2 games or treaty games for a saturday smackdown or something. THat would provide variety too.

Re: I need help...
You can add me on ESO if you want (sdsanft). I only play Nilla and I'm like pr20 so if that's not your thing then whatever, but I'd be willing to play/help you if you want.

Re: Move stream to Youtube Gamming
If you need content to stream after the tounament you could always host some other tourneys. A 2v2 tournament, 3v3 tournament, treaty tournament, Nilla tournament, etc. I don't know how hard any of those would be to organize, but even without a cash prize I'm sure many people would still signup and/...

Re: What do goons beat?
So basically, from my perspective (that is, a pr20 perspective), goons beat pretty much everything except for skirms and muskets, assuming I micro.

Re: Amazing Recorded Games for YouTube
Zutazuta tested it today and streaming on twitch and YouTube gaming is possible so that is also an option. I don't know exactly how long it took to setup but I feel after the first time, it shouldn't be hard at all to do.

Add me on ESO, username sdsanft. I only have Nilla and would love to play if I'm on. I'm pr 20 but quickly improving.

Re: Move stream to Youtube Gamming
Well first of all, you need to have good content either way. Second, why don't you apply for Twitch as well as doing a YouTube trial. That way you know exactly what you will be getting on each platform.

Re: Amazing Recorded Games for YouTube
Thanks for all the replies everyone, this forum is probably one of the most active ones I use! I think my audience is higher skill level than some of the people here think. Otherwise Smackdown and the tournament commentary wouldn't nearly be as popular as it is. The low level viewers are the ones w...

Re: Move stream to Youtube Gamming
Why don't we at least have like a trial run where we stream SS or something similar on YouTube and see how many people show up. At least then we will have solid facts and not mere speculation.
