Esoc patch issue
Re: Esoc patch issue
a nice refreshed version of the patch might be nice, thought it might also be a lot of work
Re: Esoc patch issue
2.0.5 doesnt work for me either. Any way to fix? 2.0.3 worked fine.

Try messing with c++ 2013 and 2015 but i doubt it will fix the problem. Currently win 10 users experience most problems with 2.0.5...

@musketeer925
I'm not sure what the previous issues I had were, but the patched version of the game is actually launching now, unlike before.
Ever since 2.0.0.5
I don't know what you guys did, but this is much better than before. thank you!

The prediction that things would somehow work out after later revisions of the patch may have ended up being true.
I still get CRC unfortunately, probably due to the fact that I tampered with my installation in order to try and fix things. However the .exe itself is launching which means to me that the issues may be fixed; I will reinstall AoE3 and then reinstall EP and see how that works out.
Keep up the good work guys x)

Like i said try reinstalling/repairing c++ 2013 and 2015. It's your best bet, until they fix the problem. Also, CIR is still not working as intended, it affects light cav which it shouldn't.

Re: Esoc patch issue
No reason to play on ep if you're playing team, just play on the balanced patch instead and you can use ep maps

Re: Esoc patch issue
Do we have approximate eta for esoc patch fix?
Re: Esoc patch issue
''The program can't get started cause api-ms-win-crt-runtime|1-1-0.dll is missing''
I tried downloading that suggested file to install the visual C++ 2013 etc thing and the Marco file and none of them worked.

SOLVED!
I installed this updates from windows update: KB2939087, KB2975061, then I installed this one KB2919355, then KB2999226 and then I was able to install the visual c++ 2015 without problems. Then the patch worked perfectly, thanks for your help mates!

Even if technical problem can be manually fixed, there is also CIR issue.

Re: Esoc patch issue
There is temporary workaround for ep vc++ issue. If you have x64 op just re/install vc++ 2013 and 2015 for both x86 and x64 to be sure. By far It worked for most people.

Will ep team fix CIR issue in near future?

Its not a bug lol...
I dont know whats going on either btw. They said they revert but nothing happens. Maybe they dont want. But they should write the change into balance notes then.

CIR should affect heavy inf. only, at least description says so. Initial problem was that it affected goons, then they patched it, now it affects light cav.
