Exactly what I was wondering.

Again, video quality options are only given to twitch partners and we're trying to become that. To do that however, we need a lot of concurrent viewers. So tune in as much as you can!

As for youtube live, we aren't ignoring that possibility but the cons outweigh the pros.

Several times we got the 250+ viewers and has no quality option
Once the @Umeu was streaming with only 50 viewers we got quality option, this shit is random
Probably we will not overcome 250 views, perhaps 500 in the final.
We got 950~ viewers in the Spring Tourney (first ESOC Tourney)

You guys should create a poll and see what people think about it (Change to Youtube Gamming)
Or that tourney is only for Mankle watch? (He require that all stream should be in the best quality possible)

To qualify as a Twitch Partner, we look for:

- Average concurrent viewership of 500+ (not just a one-time peak)
- Regular broadcast schedule of at least 3 times a week
- Content that conforms to our Terms of Service and DMCA Guidelines

That's almost impossible :/

It was said somewhere that they could make an exception if you are coupled to a community site or something along those lines. At least it implied to me that we'd have a fair chance given that the stream is related to this pretty large site, that also represents the entire aoe3 community.

ESOC does not represent the entire AoE3 community, even though the name might lead you to believe so...

The ESOCTV Twitch-channel overlay should not by any means be used to censor the civilization-selection process, which is a vital part of tournament play. Apart from that, match-related dialogue (including disrespectful and inflammatory comments) offers tremendous entertainment value to viewers and there is no just basis for denying the audience access to it.

How dare you try to tell Mankle our supreme dictator how to run things.
