Great initiative - Really appreciate your good work - and are looking forward 2 it.
I have a suggestion: If you make donations possible while the tournament are on, the prize of 150 dollars could be much higher. I - for one - will surely be donating some if I watch the tournament.
I remember watching the Japan 1 day tournament, where the prize the winner got, was the donations while the tournament lasted.

Not sure what you mean, but if i have misunderstood your point, feel free to point it out. But as far as i'm aware, you are just spouting bs from a misplaced sense of entitlement. Or atleast, you are taking up the cause for those who MIGHT be having such a wrong sense of entitlement. Which so far, from the donors, nobody has come forth to make the complaints you are hypothetically warning us about. I really dont give 2 cents if people wouldn't donate anymore because they aren't getting their tournaments tailormade and served personally the way they want it. Most people donate not because they expect to get what they want, but because they want to contribute to something we all want. This is a community site, and it's not about what 1 person wants. If they wan't more input in how the endproduct will look like, they can invest their time, or they can come up with the idea themself, fund the project and set the terms and make a deal with esoc that they host it for him/her, as noel already explained.

im not sure what i may have misread in your post, but hey... everyone can miss something, some people miss a sense of community, others may not have a sense for filtering out the message in an unclear post. well... nobody is perfect.

I have not read this long post yet maybe I will later, but again in my sentence it is not specifically pointed at you or anyone, it says "People" it can be anyone, many replied to my post, it's not necessary that it points at you, but still you got butt-hurt now I know that I am not wrong.

My post had an if in the first sentence (talk about reading comprehension...) but since i was last to reply to your post, its a fair assumption to make you could have also meant me. Which would ofcourse be strange, but ok.

Diarouga you are not part of the plan nor do you know anything about the plan. You're straight up talking out of your ass. Please don't do that.

Idk if it was a mistake but I have access to the «esoc calendar» thread.
I read it again and it is not explicitly mentionned that there will be 2 big tourneys but people said that in the comments.

It was a suggestion. For as far as I know there is no real plan.

Was it only a suggestion?
Anyway, nobody wants a summer championship, so that's goona be 2 big tourneys this year.

Yeah I personally do think 2 big tourneys might be better, but maybe we need to do that alongside with 2 small tournaments taking only a few weeks.

An acceptable option to the "2 Majors; 2 Masters" is three tournaments per year, all open and of the same format – one starting September, one December and one March. Various other events could then be added to this schedule.

Not at all. Summer just felt poorly timed and poorly handled. I think three tournaments with about a month in between them (and three months off in summer) would be good. Two per year is (again) simply too little if the goal of ESOC is to promote the game.

Hmmm I dont know. Sometimes I feel like every good player went inactive after winter.

I also cant feel hype when theres a tournament every three months I fear.

Personally, I feel that the community is inactive in general. I think of it as the main purpose of the tournaments to counteract that, in one sense or another.

We no longer have a mini tournament like Saturday smackdown. We have many streaming - but most 3v3 (not very exiting for the viewer cos you pretty mutch dont know what is going on) so maybe there is an audience for more tournaments. Hopefully also players 2??

I will be happy with 2 tournaments - even more happy with 3
