Russia > germany now. I think the patch changed balance a bit too much... Isn't this supposed to be step by step ? Germany's 2nd easiest mu is now close to unwinnable

It appears likely that the effect on Germans' relative strength is too great. I'm sure it will be addressed as soon as possible if that is the case.

After watching many German games last night I think this change is being greatly over exaggerated. You just can't simply make only uhlans now and win which is a good thing.

Except people were never able to make just uhlans and win... If you can do that then your opponent just sucks. But I'm not really surprised, so many people make the wrong composition vs germany...

i beat king Richard multiple times by going pure uhlan and than shipping either dops or xbows after 700w depending on the situation

Yeah, it's not like kingrichard is the best player... He's a nice guy, but he was arguing that with Russ you should make mills in your base instead of „losing VS" by blockhousing hunts on the map.

I am a proponent of getting rid of uhlan nerf and adjusting shipments. 3 sw, 700c, 700w -1/2 uhlan. 9 uhlan -1 uhlan, 8 skirm + 3 uhlan -1 uhlan.

The main problem with the uhlans is that they get really strong once you get a mass of them, and that germany gets a lot of army at once at a time the opponent can't get the same amount. While the uhlan is a strong unit, people usually complain about the two uhlan harassment in their first colo card or the uhlans in the ff timing instead of the unit itself. I don't think people would say uhlans are op if germany didn't have their bonus of getting uhlans in their shipments and had a more standard eco. One thing about the age of empires 3 eco system is that not only the cost effectiveness of the unit is important, but how convenient it is to make them also matters a lot. If it wasn't for that, people would make falcs every time they went to age 3 instead of going full skirms. The thing is that uhlans are very convenient to get and get strong really fast in the timing, but they aren't particularly cost effective in drawn-out trades. Now with the nerf, the problem with their timing got fixed for the most part since the unit got weaker, but now they aren't cost effective, which means you don't really want to make it once you are done with the timing. I was thinking it would be nice to keep the nerf, but also reduce their cost by 10 food, or perhaps 10 gold, 5 gold. This would make them cost effective in trades, but it wouldn't make them more spammable in fortress timings since the scale of your eco is still too small for you to be able to get more units with just that discount. For instance, in case the buff is a discount of 10 gold, if you were make 10 uhlans before going to fortress, you would save 100 gold, which wouldn't really speed up the process by that much. Since people keep complaining germany now became one of the weakest civs, I just can't imagine people saying this would make them OP.

I propose middle ground next time, uhlans lose 5 instead of 10 hp.....
