80f is too much. On Tibet, you can have 6 upgraded tps with constant vill production @ 6:00 with atp. My opponent had 250 score when he aged to Industrial at 10:00 with constant vill production from 3 tcs and musketeers to protect his vills.

Nah 80f is really fine, you just got outplayed by letting him taking TPs and going FI.

Coincidentally we did consider 90f but decided to start with 80 and -100f crates. Testing indicates this has not made Portuguese stronger than civilizations like British or French, for instance. If additional play-testing proves the initial test results wrong it will surely be changed.

Made a typo lol. I ment 150 which is still considerably higher than British or French for example.

If you let him have 6 TPs I'm not surprised..

Brits can have 160+ scores at 10 min if they full boom.

The thing is that he took all 6 tps while aging (made some with vills) which means I wasn''t really able to stop him. I tried to find his explorer but I couldn''t find it in time.

150 at 10.00 is okay. Ive saw some germans doing 172 at 10.00

I think it was a rec of WCG finals where H2O made 115 up at 7.30 with Japan and like 160 up at 10.00, I dont remember exactly.

port isn't op now. yeah they can have more units than before, but still they can hardly win a fight outside your base in age 3, as mamelukes got nerfed and port don't have other op units. you can boom from 3tc, but even if you have 20 more vills your eco is still worse if you are out of hunts. the mills and plantation in aoe3 is still tooooooo weak. a semi fi may be better: only with jinete and heavy cannon can you BEAT your opponent, instead of just DEFENDING.

80f seems really good tbh, they have lost a mamluke and 100f so 80f is very reasonable.

I played ports. Their semi is as good as French but they still aren't as good as French because of lack of vil shipment, falc shipment and have no upgrade for cassadores in age 3. Also it is hard to add huss transition with ports.

I'd say ports are balanced now, but they still suck somehow.

No, they don't suck. and you don't need huss as port (which cost food), you rely on the mam shipment and on your artillery production to beat the skirms.

Wait what, should you make organ guns instead of cassadores?

Cassadores is a skirm units, so you make skirms to beat goons, but vs skirms you should make organ guns.

Cassadores do better than skirms in ranged vs ranged.

The point is if you try to make 50 cassadores to keep up in skirm count you will run out of food on the map. Each batch of 5 cassadors costs about 1 bison with decay, and ofc u gotta make 20-30 goons too and 240f every 25 secs
