Player Rating - Treaty Version

Treaty version of umeu's "Player Rating" post. Some points I copied directly from umeu, some I edited, some I removed because they weren't applicable in treaty, and some I added.

Skills:
Macro - Res management
What is it: The ability to control economic units to gather right resources and to create and maintain a reasonable resource distribution. Also includes ability to attain a high score at the end of the treaty period.

Micro
What is it: The ability to control expensive artillery units for optimal damage output or damage control.

Tactics
What is it: Positioning of units and placement of walls on the battlefield to get an advantage.

Strategy - Matchup Knowledge
What is it: Overall knowledge of how to play each matchup, which units to make, whether to be aggressive or defensive, etc.

Strategy - Map Control/Map Use
What is it: Ability to take and use strategic points on the map to get an advantage. Knowledge of when to jump, when to split, and how to react if an opponent does the same.

Scouting
What is it: Ability to scout your opponents start army and ability to guess what your opponent is going to do, even if no information can be gleaned. (Still kinda irrelevant in treaty, can be skipped).

Macro - Unit production
What is it: Ability to be constantly producing units and staying above 190/200 pop.

APM
What is it: Actions per minute.

Mentality:
Civ Depth
What is it: How many civs the player can play at a high level ('10+ civs = 5/5, 8+ civs = 4/5 etc)

Consistency
What is it: How likely a player is able to produce the same high level game play when it matters. Also ability to not make dumb mistakes, such as forgetting AA upgrades.

Endurance
What is it: Ability to play for a long period of time, and only resign if all options have been exhausted, and there is no way to win. The ability to continue playing well throughout a long game.

Tilt
What is it: How likely a player is to tilt [spoiler=spoiler](dis is joke sorry)[/spoiler]

By the way, the definition you use for mechanics is a part of what macro is supposed to be.

In a typical rts yeah. But in treaty a lot of what goes into staying popped has to do with mechanics.

But mechanics is the combination of macro and micro in rts and macro is basically everything what has to do with your production :ugeek:

Quick google search and you're right. Seems like mechanics is too broad a term for what I was going for.

There should be "Dirtiness". For example good strat is putting 50 opris to opponent eco before he has walled up... Or as japan you can alt+d and sabotage attack factories. Or in orinoco you can do ships and alt+d explo and spam blowjobbers to the mills of opponent
