What is Treaty Patch?
 • Improved civilization balance
 • New maps
 • Cheat protection
 • Easy to install
 • Automatic updates
 • Easy switch between Treaty, ESOC and regular patch

The Treaty Patch is a balance patch designed to improve the treaty gameplay experience. There are also new and well balanced treaty maps created by our talented map makers. Best of all - it has protection against known cheats. Treaty Patch is now integrated into ESOC Patch as a bundled download, and launch-able from the EP Launcher interface. So, just download and install ESOC Patch, and Treaty Patch will get installed automatically.
Q: Can I still play non-Treaty Patch games?
A: Yes! After installing, you'll simply have three desktop icons: TAD, TP and EP.

Q: Can I play the Treaty Patch on Voobly?

A: Yes. To use with Voobly:
1) Open Voobly client.
2) Download and install Treaty Patch for Voobly from here: http://www.voobly.com/gamemods/mod/808/Treaty-Patch
3) Host a room and enable Treaty Patch in room settings.
4) To turn off the Treaty Patch, just disable it in room settings.
(Note: Other players do not have to download the patch when they join your room, because it will be automatically downloaded and enabled for them once you enable it yourself).

Q: Can I play the TP on GameRanger?

A: Yes. To use with GameRanger:
1) Launch GameRanger.
2) Go to game installation folder.
3) Find age3y.exe and rename it to age3yy.exe; find age3t.exe and rename it to age3y.exe. Play.
4) To go back to the official patch, rename age3y.exe back to age3t.exe and age3yy.exe to age3y.exe

Q: How will I get new updates for the TP?
A: The EP Launcher will automatically prompt you to keep your game up to date. Once you’ve installed the patch, you won’t have to reinstall or fumble with files every time the patch updates: the latest version is always one click away. On Voobly, the patch will check for updates every time you enter AoE3 lobby.
Can you get EP and tr patch on eso-a. Especially if you could switch between re/ep/tr/xp through the overlay that would be nice.

I am not quoted

Also, I am a bit unsure why are there two Treaty Patch launchers? Are they related or what are the differences? viewtopic.php?f=33&t=7088

I was helping vladislav create his launcher, but I was not satisfied with the final launcher he had. It doesn't have any separate game exe file and it replaces original files, usually after installing his mod, launching RE launches TR Patch, so it's lil messy.
So, he uploaded it anyways and I decided to create one on my own.

Okay, thanks for clarifying! From his description I was indeed afraid that the original files will be affected and I didn't install it, so looks like that was a correct decision.

Pin this thread here in AoE3 User-created Content?
Also pin Treaty Patch to the side bar in a similar way as done with ESOC-Patch?
