in TR how many times do you ransom explorer?

I was thinking especially as port with 3 explorers in a long game must get ransomed quite a lot giving your opponent 100gold each time. That could be adding thousands to the bank roll of your enemy....

So how many times in ori do you think you ransom explorers? 100 times? thats 10 k coin...

Well, as often as you can. It's worth it. 3 explorers=10 000 hp tanks, OP. On Treaty Patch, when you send 2 explorers card, all explorers get -750hp.

All explorers have the heavy inf tag now, so it is quite of a nerf.

btw. if you count the damage these tanks taken and dealt, it's not such a bad trade considering this „10k coin"...

yeah its still obviously worth it to use them, but I just wonder how many times people revive them to see how much coin is transferred. even though it cost 100 coin, the transfer balances out to a 200 res difference in score. so take your theoretical 1ok coin, assume both parties had even scores of 2000 deduct and add it creates a 200 point difference in scores. Final scores looking like 1900-2100

I don't think they die that many times especially in a high lvl match. Players actively micro to avoid shooting those explorers so they die more slowly than you'd think (unless you play noobs). From what I remember from the treaty cup etc they only die roughly every 30 seconds or so, sometimes longer if opponent micros well. Considering average TR fights last about 10 mins that's 20 times revived, or 4000 coin net lost, which isn't much at all.

i think ten minutes is about the minimum not the average. Games go on for much longer than that. Watched conguerer999 vs charlemagen the other night they battled almost 2 (110 mins) hrs as port vs brit. so based on that, me might have revived his explorer 220 times. or 22000k coin (theoretically)

Again, calculate how much damage they tanked and you should see their viability.

It's indeed 200 coin instead of 100 in reality. Huge numbers don't really matter IMO, it's treaty we're talking about, if we were to count each unit's cost in general, explorers would appear pretty insignificant.

Always worth to revive. Crackshot + dmg tanked more than makes up for the cost. You can also do things like shove them into enemy goons so that they atk your explorers instead of Huss or use them to snare artillery for your culvs (dog is best for this) in order to get the most value out of them.

well if u dont control your explorers then its pretty much your own fault ransom 100 times really?
try putting the explorers in a stand fast position behind your fighting army and when your explorers get a crack shot each designate them to a full health strongest unit kill and back off
as ports there is no real excuse to give opponent 10k coin or even 5 k coin

It would be more beneficial to send your explorer(s) behind the enemies army, drawing fire away from ur more expensive units. Crack shot when its off CD

This is really dumb. Fully upgraded explorers have something like 10k HP, that's like 20 musks worth of tanking (not even mentioning they have no HI tag on RE so no counter). Even if you just run them into melee your opponent's LI/goons etc and he attack moves and wastes volleys on it, it's totally worth it since it's 10℅ of the cost of those musks.

mate explorers dont have 10k hp are u on crack? that was a stupid thing to say now against a good oponent sure run ur explores into there army u would just be labbeled stupid for doing so as a good oponent will have that explorer dead in 2 seconds and wouldnt even bother him

charlemagen i see what ur saying there but majority of the time u are facing walls and to get behind army with an explorer in treaty would require going through a mass amount infront of u
but if u can get explorer behind there army then by all means why not
