Ottomans viable for Treaty?

Post by site »

I like sieging down the enemies TC and having my Jan's build rax and foundries in my opponents base and spamming Jan+Abus in the few NR games I've played with Otto... But all those games were against PR 16 or less. Are Ottomans viable at higher levels? Do they have the eco for it?

On RE ottos are pretty weak, eco isn't good (u gotta use cows to boost it), infantry trains slow, etc.
on Treaty Patch they got a lot of buffs like Infinity bombard, faster infantry training, eco boost and other things.

Otto Even on patch is a very match up oriented civ. They are however, one of the weaker civs on TP. I am sure we will see some possible changes to them in the future

Would giving them a TC wagon in age 2 help with their slow building eco enough to help balance the eco out?

No, you need long-term cards.

On of the best treaty games ever recorded was a 2 vs 2 with "regenwurm" as the Ottomans against Sanderson_Fin. The Ottomans can win no question.

Yes. Ottomans are very op. Nothing stops 100 Janissaries and those little neckbeards can curbstomp any enemy base and building barracks to replenish themselves
