do you even have breans to understand its concept?
I guess that justifies its rating.

It's a nice show indeed. Pretty much what you said except for Martha, I just don't care about her. Also, it's a good thing the actors speak Russian and not English with a lame Russian accent like in the '90s movies.Dolan wrote:Just watched the last episode of The Americans from Season 4. This season has been quite good actually, though I had to skip a lot of syrupy scenes so I can watch mostly the action scenes (couldn't stand the mom-daughter scenes or the EST scenes). I think this series really has potential, think of a spin-off with what happened to Martha in Russia.
So now I have to wait for yet another year until they make Season 5.
Yeah, I understand. I wonder if they could reproduce the '80s sovietic atmosphere & decor though. There are almost no outdoor scenes that take place in the USSR in this show. Now regarding Philip's son, isn't he about to join his father in the USA?Dolan wrote:I didn't like her, but I like the idea of following what happened to a former spy once they got exfiltrated to Moscow. So I'd be willing to put up with her annoying self just to see the adventure of someone who was born in the USA having to adapt to Soviet Russia, when they are forbidden to leave the country (for obvious reasons). She could meet Philip's son there, maybe his family, etc etc. A new type of story could evolve just from the adventures of an uprooted American forcibly sent to Soviet Russia to adapt from zero, basically.

Yeah a LOT more of my time went into AoE3 than TV. 70 shows let's say another 50 that I didn't like times 20 hours (considering I didn't finish most of those 50) equals about 2400 hours which is probably not even a fifth of the time I spent on ESO. Then a ton more time outside of ESO.pecelot wrote:I almost always watch something when I eat, so if I liked TV-series I could pick them and watch through gradually in such a way, for instance :)
Still, though, the amount of time required to watch all of the aforementioned serials is a bit terrifying... :O But I guess that's a case every time we look at something from a certain perspective, like if we were to count the hours played in AoE, some people would definitely become somewhat scared...
The amount of content may look intimidating, if I were you I'd start by watching all of the top rated ones on imdb http://www.imdb.com/chart/toptv/?ref_=nv_tvv_250_3Laurence Drake wrote:New life goal: keep up with shows

List might be a little long. I can be more specific if you give me a list of shows that stood out to you so far.24 (drama)
